    It's a remarkable place - everything is done with so much care and great attention to detail. Someone has gone to a lot of trouble to think about what makes a holiday enjoyable.     Everything was wonderful.The location was somewhat in the sticks but the instructions as to locate them were easy to follow and the veiws were awsome and peaceful. Our hosts booked us dinner at a quaint village pub a couple of miles away which was superb and great value for money------------especially the bottle of reserve rioja.     Could not fault anything, room was very new & spotlessly clean & a good size. There was a TV, tea, coffee, drinking chocolate & biscuits in the room. The staff very friendly & in the morning there was a very good cooked breakfast. All in all excellent value for the money.     Stayed here while on a leisure cycle through the Wye Valley and Brecon Beacons. Unfortunately, woke up to stair-rod torrential rain; 25 mph winds; and a forecast saying it was set for the rest of the day. Our host used his local conections to sort out transport for our bikes and oursleves to our next stop; and let us overstay until gone midday whi... what people say » le we waited to be picked up. And this for folk stopping just one night and unlikely to be in Monmouth overnight again. It came on top of friendly and - We had a great welcome from Sandra when we arrived after a 60 mile bike ride "would you like a cup of tea?" Would we ever! Our room was perfect, the location was ideal and the breakfast was first rate. In short, everything you could want in a family B&B at a great price. I would go back tomorrow.

    I have used Cross Keys 3 times and feel very much at ease there. The room has always been clean, the breakfast enormous and the host and hostess so friendly you feel as though they are personal friends.     The house was in a beautiful setting (if a little hard to find!) and our room had a lovely outlook. Everywhere was immaculately clean; our room was very comfortable with a huge bed and lovely furnishings. Noelle (the owner) was very friendly and helpful owner and provided us with a delicious, freshly cooked breakfast. What more could you ask for? ... what people say » Very good value - would certainly stay there again. - This is a great place to stay in a wonderful peaceful setting. It's a short walk to the local pub the Milton Hotel which sells great food. We stayed in room 5 which is very spacious accommodating a King Size bed and a two seater settee . The en-suite bathroom has a nice shower along with good quality towels and dressing gowns.There is also plenty of tea and coffee with fresh milk provided.
