The staff are nice and friendly you get a good welcome and the owners will greet you when you arrive or see you off when you leave. You can easily get into Cheltenham by bus and there are lots of walks in the surrounding countryside. The hotel has a conservatory, bar and restaurant (which we didn't try but the menu looked attractive). There are plenty of books and newspapers if you prefer to stay indoors.   It was the first time we had travelled with a young baby and staff were very supportive initially over the telephone then in person, providing a travel cot in the room and a high chair at meal times. The food was reasonably priced and very good, and the rooms were modern and quiet.   A first class welcome. This even included coming out to the car park to see that we had negotiated the electric gates OK. The owners made us feel like their own personal guests. The building is breathtaking and lovingly restored. The continental breakfast was the perfect detoxification and delightfully varied. We would not hesitate to re - The ambiance was true old world English. It is in the best location Painswick. I thought Painswick was the most charming town in the area. The Manor was beautiful. The owners were charming and took us under their wings. Te staff was friendly and efficient. We will be back. It is also close to train service.

  The owners were really friendly, and as they weren't full they gave me an upgrade from the smallest room on the top floor to a larger room on a lower floor. There was fruit in the room as well as tea, coffee and bottled water, and free WiFi too. I couldn't fault the service, and as I was staying midweek and at the back of the hotel, I wasn't affec... what people say » ted by any noise. The central location is great. - Everything - the very large comfortable bed, the spacious room, the spotless bathroom. The owner was very accommodating - I asked for a vegetarian cooked breakfast and this was prepared for me, and it was superb! I would recommend this hotel to others without hesitation.

  We found the staff to be extremely friendly and a credit to the hotel.the ambience was brilliant with a nice aspect with a grand view across the Cotswolds carry on the good work - You were not rushed for breakfast or to vacate the room. The views were excellent and the facilities at the hotel were great.
