    The food was obviously of a high quality. After a walk round Grasmere the hotel's warm swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna were a luxurious delight.     The hotel is in an excellent location to see the Lake District. The only issue is the parking. The hotel does not own the parking lot so you must pay to use it. The lot is also rather small so you may have to park on the street and move your car by 9:00 in the morning or be ticketed. - The staff were very friendly and helpful on our arrival.     We stayed in a family room and it was very clean and comfortable. Steve cooked us a fabulous English breakfast the following morning. He even carried our bags and gave the kids lollies when we left. He went the extra mile which makes a big difference when you are travelling with kids.     Extremely warm welcome and they let me park my motorcycle indoors so it was totally secure. Very friendly. Also (free) wireless in my room. There's another greta pub over the road from this one with a georgeous barmaid! Both highly recommended. - Excellent breakfast.     The staff were really friendly and helpful. The location was beautiful. The bar was cosy and the food good and big portions! The room was warm and comfortable. - I couldn't fault anything & the staff were so friendly and welcoming. The food they serve was excellent and I would definitely stay there again.
