    The proprietors Hugo and Pippa are truly wonderful hosts, make you feel very special and Woodlands is quite the best hotel we have stayed in - not posh or snooty but really comfortable and welcoming. Guest are pampered with every facility you could wish for - even including a great selection of Teddys to take to bed! Pippa was very helpful explaining the local restaurants in Padstow and the surrounding area. We had a great time and sad that it wasn't longer. We look forward to returning soon.

    Too much to say in one review, I stay away at least two nights a week. It takes a lot for me to a) really impressed and b) almost speechless, however being shown to Room 5 did both those things!! The room itself was huge, and I mean huge. Open plan bath room, with bath and walk in wet room shower, everything in the room was quality from the slate ... what people say » on the walls and floor in bathroom to the Bose ipod dock. However the thing that dominates the room is the view, ceiling to floor (almost) glass windo - wow the lewinnick lodge is amazing, everything about our stay was fantastic, we stayed for two nights in the sunrise room. huge room with views over fistral beach, room spotless and the king size bed was very comfortable, bose I-pod dock, walk n shower and roll top bath by the window, breakfast included and was very good, we had dinner on both nights and was also excellent, the staff were friendly and very helpful, fresh milk delivered to our room for tea and coffee if you want good food, great

    Booked this B&B at the last minute for a 5 night stay in Newquay. We were delighted with our choice. Our room was tastefully decorated, very clean, comfortable, light and airy. Breakfast was served in the dining room and had lots of choice. The breakfast was cooked to perfection. Location is ideal as near enough for a short walk to Newquay centre and several beaches but far enough away to be very peacef - Very comfortable stay. Friendly and helpful owners, very welcoming.     Hazel was the perfect hostess. Nothing was a trouble, great advice on local walks etc, including maps & notes ( prepared by hotel). Breakfast was excellent, cooked to order. Room lovely. We stayed in room 1, in main building, great aspect, opened on to balcony with access to garden. Lovely guest lounge & bar area. Superb stay in tranquil g... what people say » arden setting. And to top it off, the evening meals were outstanding, presentation & service amazing, new menu each night, with at least two fish - The service was superb and nothing was too much trouble. For example -asked for warm milk for coffee on first morning and this choice was remembered each succeeding morning. Local walks were helpfully printed for us. Both my wife and myself remarked that there was no cooking smell at mealtimes. The room was spotlessly maintained each day and used tea and coffee sachets replaced with same.     Charming and unpretentious, I loved this hotel because it did not have the facilities or glamour of a boutique hotel but it had staff who cared , was very clean and comfortable and had a good old fashioned honesty about it which is so hard to find.     Everything! We couldn't fault a single thing. Anyone who does is incredibly picky because we loved it so much we stayed an extra night. Three nights there was like a two week relaxing holiday. Easy walk down to the sea - Lovely townhouse, beautifully decorated faithful to its period style. Such comfortable beds, luxury bedlinens and everything required for comfort in the room. The residents' sitting room is so comfortable and relaxing. Excellent breakfast. We stayed 2 nights in this lovely house, wish we'd had longer. A short walk into town on a quiet street. Highly recommended.

    Mark and Francesca were great hosts and gave us a warm and friendly greeting when we arrived. Bailey was fast asleep most of the time but came to us in the restaurant for a tickle and a stroke.
