    The location was perfect for visiting Tintagel Castle, Merlin's cave and the King Arthur museum which was perfect for our trip.     The reception that we were greeted with was very welcoming.We were shown to our room and everyhing was explained really well of how to use everything in the room .The room was beautifull,really decorated well and clean and comfortable with plenty of space. The cooked breakfast was delicious. - Everything from the start to finish the room was fantastic for business or even romantic purpose.     Liv & the staff were very friendly & really helpful with places of interest. The breakfast choices were good & also very delicious. Food was great, very close to the town centre. The owner was very welcoming and helpful, she recommended things to do and places to eat out. Would definitely stay there again!

    Charming, considerate, welcoming hosts -very concerned that we should be comfortable (I have a minor mobility problem and we were given a choice of rooms.) The breakfasts were excellent in content and service. Appreciated the location that was not at the hub of Newquay's night life. - Absolutely beautiful-from the moment we arrived - before checkin time, although we were given our keys and Karenwas happy for us to use our rooms straight away! The house is very tastefully decorated and everything looked fresh and VERY clean. Arriving early afternoon to drop our luggage off we had a chat with the very charming and friendly owner (male), he suggested we may want to get the afternoon ferry on that day (it had been delayed so was leaving at 2.30) as we would get to Scilly earlier. We managed to do that, and we were so moved by the hosts generosity ( he lost a booking because of it!). We will definately recommend and

    The first impressions on going through the front door were of a more 'hostel' situation, but the front reception room is used to store travelers surf boards etc. The room was fine with nice sea views and a big bathroom Fairly basic room, but comfy beds and just enough room for two adults. It was a hot time of year but an electric fan was provided ... what people say » which is unusual in the UK! Fantastic cooked breakfast for vegetarians and non vegetarians alike. Quiet and close to the bus station, cinema complex, - joanne was very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was lovely and fresh waitress very helpful. All in all a very pleasant stay.     Chris and Sally were the perfect hosts, they are an extremely lovely couple. Our stay was made very comfortable, our room was cleaned daily and the breakfasts were second to none, the circular breakfast table encouraged all the residents to chat and get to know each other and exchange their views on places to visit and eat. Chris in particular ... what people say » had a good knowledge of Newquay and advised us of places to eat and see, particularly the park and ride facility which allowed us to enjoy superb view - In a good position near to the beach. The bedroom was nicely decorated and very homely. Chris & Sally were great host who made you feel welcome. The breakfast was excellent and sharing the breakfast table with the other guest was enjoyable this allowed you to get to know them and share knowledge and experience of Newquay and surrounding areas. We would highly recommend Cormorant House.
