    Enjoyed afternoon tea and relaxed. Had an excellent meal in the restaurant. Breakfast was also fantastic an excellent time had by both of us. - Really lovely hotel. We stayed for a friends wedding that was held at the hotel. Would highly recommend. At £60 it is a stonking bargain!

    We had a really good stay for the folk festival. The rooms were lovely, the beds super comfortable and the cooked breakfast definitely the spot in the morning. We would recommend the place to anyone wanting to stay a bit further out from the city center.     Everything - The decore, atmoshere, food and staff were first class. Bedroom with comfortable seating for two with LCD TV was excellent.     The staff were very helpful and friendly for the duration of my stay. The room itself was lovely, with a constant supply of hot water and a huge range of in-room teas, coffees and hot chocolates. While the facilities and extras were not fantastic, I was there for business and not pleasure so it did not affect me in any way. Overall, the entire stay at the Red Lion was very enjoyable and the food - rooms are chalet style an the rear of the garden,relatively new and very comfortable, very quite no road noise. the red lion is a 16 century grade 2 listed pub and is full of old word character,all the staff are excellent and friendly, i would thoroughly recommend staying here.

    Everything was really nice, and relaxing. The staff did everything to take care of us and even more. It is located so close to center of town and Ely cathedral you can easliy walk down safe quiet streets.     The village of Houghton is a little gem just an hour away from downtown London. This Band b was very close to the home of friends (our primary reason for visiting Houghton), but we are thinking of including it on our next trip to England, just to be able to explore more of the walking paths around the area. Our room was large with a spacious bath thru the wardrobe (I kept expeciting to open the wardrobe to - Cheriton House is situated in a quiet part of the village of Houghton, near Huntingdon. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful, even taking us by car to our daughter's house in Hartford on one occasion. You can get around by an efficient bus service. Breakfasts were excellent with bread made from nearby Houghton Mill and home made jam and marmalade Church just across the road has magnificent kneelers. Worth a visit if it is open.

    Have stayed many times. It is not the Ritz but it is all I want when having to work in the area - character, great staff, good food, and dogs! Haverhill lacks any other decent accommodation.     Self check in was an excellent idea, and could not have been easier, asimple idea but a refreshing change from the usual limitations andrestrictions applied at other BandBs. Breakfast was great, lovely fry up andhuge choice of cereal,fruit and yoghurts! Rooms were very clean andtastefully decorated to high standard and location was excellent. The lounge was large and comfortable and the kitchen was available for guests to use (crockery for each room provided in separate locked cupboards). This is something I have not seen before. Also, it is not far from town - few minutes by car but it would be possible to walk it.
