    We were looking for a base with authentic and peaceful countryside ambience, off the beaten track, to explore some of Cambridgeshire. The Elephant and Castle at Sawtry proved to meet our needs wonderfully. The locality was easily accessible, parking was ample and the accommodation was obviously thoughtfully arranged and very comfortable. The welco... what people say » me and hospitality from all members of staff was warm and sustained and our evening meals and breakfast were most satisfying and efficiently served. T - Fantastic staff. Fine modern accomodations located behind the pub in a separate building. They went out of the way to make us feel at home. They even did our laundry free of charge while we visited a historic house even though we only spent one night with them. We also had a great meal in the pub which is rented by a Chinese family. Great country location worth the short drive out of town.

    The hotel staff were very pleasant and the price was very good for what we needed. Clean comfortable and a hot shower. - Staff couldn't do enough to assist me on my requests and problems. excellent attitude and manner.

    I thought the room was good value for money. Yes, the room was small, but the bed was comfortable and it had all the facilities I needed. The breakfast was more than adequate as well, which was unexpected. - small room but comfortable enough to saty one night for sleep.
