  I booked the Anvil lodge last min as I was taking some customers out in Shifnal/Shrewsbury & wanted somewhere nice and central to the town. Like Ronseal, it did exactly what it said on the tin.   This was one of the cheapest options in the area, but the standard was still excellent. True, we did not have an en-suite room, but we were a few steps away from a large bathroom with shower, separate shower room and separate toilet - so no problem at all. The room was large and clean, with a four-poster bed and two singles (and it was still only ... what people say » £55 per night for that room). Although facing the road, it wasn't noisy either. Ray was very accommodating, allowing us to check in an hour earlier th - The location was perfect for us. The room was large with all facilities needed. Best of all was the very pleasant owners/staff who were easy going. There was no en-suite but the bathrooms are just across the corridor and were no problem to us. I would say this is reflected in the very good rates that we paid.

  Everything I needed was supplied. Staff were helpful and courteous. Value for money (at a discounted rate of £29.95) was brilliant - The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. They provided an excellent service at all times.

  Everything was fab, the staff, the room, the bar staff they couldn't do enough for us, the hotel was beautiful, the breakfast was buffett self service, eat as much as you like and it was well worth eating - Reception staff changed our room so that we wouldn't be disturbed when they determined we were not part of a wedding function at the hotel
