Although I booked a standard double at a very deep discounted rate (typically this means getting the box room next to the staff quarters), I was given an apartment room which was really a suite.   We stayed at the hotel for my husband's 50th birthday. He is keen on trains so I requested, and got, a room overlooking the station. He was in his element. We arrived at 1pm and went in to drop our bags off but the staff were able to check us into our room which was a bonus. This is a beautiful hotel in a great location.
