The hotel is situated right in the middle of one of the most iconic Georgian buildings in the UK. The decor of the hotel is certainly in keeping with the grandeur of its location and the spa and restaurant were faultless.
The service provided by the staff was impeccable - which is a first in my experience! All the staff were warm and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. I can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

We stayed in the Carnation room, a spacious Junior Suite with an additional adjoining room for our young son to sleep in. The bathroom was a good size and the generously-sized L'Occitane toiletries were a nice touch. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The downstairs rooms were lovely, it's easy to see what a great house the building must once have been. The room was excellent value for money, especially as the price included breakfast, and the location is good, only 10 mins walk down the hill into Bath. V friendly staff - good setting up the hill from the city but with a fine view from upper floors - bedroom was functional clean comfortable with a v powerful shower - and although the decor was a little tired and dated it added to the overall feel of an old English hotel from years ago - so whilst that could seem negative in fact it added to the fun of the one night stay.

The staff at this hotel were fantastically polite, helpful and attentive - there was initially a problem with our room, and we were immediately upgraded by the superb reception manager into a suite that had access to a butler. I regularly stay here because of my commuting lifestyle. Having stayed in all of Bath's hostels, YHA is definitely the best.. By far! It has so many more benefits and facilities than the others. The showers are actually hot in private wet rooms within a communal setting. I also like that there is a sink in all of the dorm rooms. Food can be kept in the fridges in the self catering kitchen and all cooking facilities from microwaves to gas cookers and ovens. Like with any hostel, take padlocks a
