    We absolutely loved The Old Smithy Loft and will be recommending it to friends and anyone else we can. It was very comfortable, very clean and just so welcoming, we wished we had stayed longer. Its also a beautiful walk into Bath city centre and not too far either we did take a taxi to the Thermae Spa (which is also lovely and relaxing and definit... what people say » ely to be recommended) but we walked in later. All in all The Old Smithy Loft is a great place to stay. - I liked everything about this location. The guest amenities were thoughtful, caring and very welcoming. The location is excellent, the flat was very warm and comfortable. The owners did everything in their power to leave us with nothing to want for. It was a home away from home and such a beautiful experience. I am grateful to the owners for making my stay a comfortable and memorable one. They truly care about their guests. I can't wait to go back.

    The hotel was lovely. The setting was beautiful, the rooms were spacious, attractive and very clean. The whole setting had a wonderful atmosphere. The food and drinks were excellent, and the staff could not have done more to make us comfortable.     The room was comfortable with tea/coffee making facilities and a big bathroom. A great state of the art gym with all the machines and weights you would hope for- these seemed almost brand new!     The accommodation was immaculate, good location very central, was a little noisy due to being in center of town. No car parking but car park only about 5 mins walk away cost £12 per day to park.     Lovely large room with huge bathroom, the freestanding bath was a really nice feature, the only problem being inadequate lighting in the bedroom area - lovely lamps etc but I couldn't see what I was getting out of my case properly!!. Yes, the stairs are a bit of a nightmare (certainly get you puffing), but they wouldn't stop me staying here again... what people say » . Location is great and a good selection to choose from at breakfast - service was a bit haphazard but the food was really nice. We stayed for 2 night - very impressed with johnathon the manager he no's his trade, the breakfast waitress very proffessional and helpful and breakfast very nice and plenty to start you off for the day, the room very nice and comfortable. thankyou very much to the manager johnathon,sally and staff. i would definatly recomend youre hotel to friends and family

    My husband and I just had a wonderful couple of nights at Oldfields. What made it so special was how friendly the staff are - making us tea/biscuits on arrival and when we got back from a long day out the following afternoon, and giving us helpful info on Bath (where to go, where to eat out etc.). The room was small, but clean, which is most important! We only stayed one night and spent most of time exploring Bath so the size of the room didn't hinder our comfort.     Lovely Victorian building. Good position. Quiet although still on a bus/main route into Bath. Easy walking distance, 20 mins into city centre. Off road parking. Friendly, helpful staff, serving breakfast early to suit our needs. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of variety. It was cold for June but the heating was on to take the chill off. - Staff were very friendly & welcoming and gave us lots of useful local information about attractions, restaurants etc. Also as hotel guests,we were entitled to discounts at various restaurants, bars & cafes. Walking was easy and park and ride was conveniently close although car park gets full quickly. Would love to go back in the summer.
