I liked the friendliness of the staff who did go that extra to help out. The bar food was reasonably priced for London and of good quality. The half price first drink was extremely welcomed after a long day.
Free wifi good. Breakfast adequate. Lots of seating in the lounge area.
Overall, as hostels go - fabulous experience. -

Excellent location. Very easy to find from Greenwich DLR station, so good public transport links into the centre, coupled with plenty to see and do in and around Greenwich itself.
Doesn't try to do too much, just concentrated on doing what it does well. And generally succeeds. -

The friendliness of the staff, quiet location and central to the train station, bus routes etc as well as the shopping centre. Reasonably priced, clean and comfortable. Nice to have cereal, milk juice and coffee/tea making facilities in room. I stayed there a couple of years ago with a friend as we were going out for the night and had a twin room

Aberdeen Guest House is very convenient for Ilford station, which has excellent links to Liverpool Street (15 minutes). The owner is very friendly & helpful, and though breakfast isn't included milk, cereals and fruit juices are provided in the room. The tea & coffee in the room is not in sachets, much nicer !! Room wasn't en-suite but there are several spacious bathrooms - clean with plenty of hot water !

Mo at the reception is a really nice guy. We arrived early and he still made sure our room was available for us ASAP. We had a double room which was very nice and clean. The hostel had a lift which was amazing after spending a lot of time lugging bags up many flights of stairs.

The staff was incrediblly nice, everyone was very helpful and polite. There are bus stops in front of the building, the Rotherhithe underground station less than 10 minutes away, it's located in a residential zone so it's a very quiet and safe place. I had previously read a review that said it was scary to walk from the underground station to the hostel, but let me tell you even though it's mostly a desserted area at the late hours of night, it's very safe, so don't worry about that. I asked them not to be on the first floor after reading the comments and they gave us a nice room on the upper floor. Receptionists are very kind. Nice bar just next door. Common kitchen on each floor. Good price for a nice stay. -

You get what you pay for... its really nothing but a room with a bed.. and that's all we wantet.. Perfect when you are in london for a short visit and dose not spend any time in your hostel/hotel exept for when sleeping..
