  Enormous, characterful room with massive furniture and huge bathroom with corner jacuzzi. Really something special at the price ! The hotel itself is like something out of a Conan Doyle story - ornate Victoriana and more or less tasteful chintz; a little overpowering at first sight but certainly impressive. Capable and friendly staff coupled with a... what people say » n excellent and varied breakfast. Recommended ! - We stayed in the Kings room which was a new wing finished in Oct 08. The room was very well appointed and catered for all our needs, eg air con, large comfortable bed, plasma screen and very quiet at night. Also a beautiful ensuite. Excellent buffet breakfast and the staff were very efficient and helpful. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

  The hotel building and rooms were luxurious and fabulous. The staff were fantastic and went that one step further to make our stay even better! The facilities were exceptional. Overall a perfect hotel to stay at.
