The staff are excellent, friendly, courteous and treat you as individuals. Very clean with very high standards of service, food, decor and furnishings. VFM! yes, I don't mind paying for the best when you get the best. The service was excellent. All staff very welcoming and helpful, in factthey could not do enough to help. Fantastic all round and I can not waitto go back. The spa was fab.
all reviews » The Chester Grosvenor is an ideal hotel for those interested in a little'retail therapy' it is so easy to go shopping, drop bags back to hotel and start again!. every thing was first class, we went their for my fiancee's 40th birthday and it was a most memorable stay and will be doing it again in the near future.Quality of room; attitude of staff; hotel decor; convenience of parking; quality of food - in short, everything. Location, comfort, everything was just excellent, that's why we keep going back there!. All the members of staff were very helpful, polite and went that extra mile to help. the hotel was in a great position staff and service excellent, a beautiful hotel. A wonderful hotel with attentive staff for which nothign was toomuch trouble. Everything, the food was fantastic and the room and staff were excellant. We had room service in the morning and breakfast in the Brazzerie. hotel was in the centre of Chester, room service breakfast fantastic, attentive staff, great bose radio. very friendly and helpfull staff. Parking nearby is very good to access the hotel. Excellent and courteous staff, ready to help in all travel needs. Conviniance, comfort,food,cleanliness and friendlyness of staff. Everything was 'spot on', enjoyed the location with being in the heart of the city but quite in the rooms. May be possible noise if in one of the rooms over looking the main road??. if there is anything to quibble about it would be the lack of choice on the vegetarian menu in the brassirie, there was only 2 and i thought they should of been at least a couple more, don't get me wrong the chef did concoct a dish to suit which we were most grateful for.The standard of breakfast was not up to the standard of the hotel. I was very dissapointed with this. The spa shower in the bathroom was complicated to use. Them asking if you wanted to pay a gratuity on the visa machine - makespeople feel uncomfortable. The perameters of the special deal booked were not explained properly at the time of booking. We would have liked to have dined in the main resteraunt but it was ully booked - I think I should have been given the option at the time of booking - or at least been informed of the popularity it. No complimentary tea or coffee in room was disappointing considering the cost. Use of Thermal Spa could be free for guests.No pool. I was slightly disappointed by some of the staff within in the restuarant (A La Carte) who did not make us feel very welcome and, in fact, made us feel like we did not belong there.Would prefer the continental part of the breakfast to be a buffet, though it was very nice to have freshly cooked eggs. From the rear car park it was a bit confusing to find reception. no. Brasserie meals not up to the standard we had previously experienced. View from room window. Parking. Breakfast was okay but not up to the standards in the main restruant. Scaffolding works outside bedroom window - so had to keep curtains closed.Breakfast servants a bit slow therefore for business travellers it takes a bit too long. I would have liked a separate shower in the room, other than in the bath.I am getting older and find walk-in a shower easier.

Please note that the hotel will pre-authorise your credit or debit card up to the value of your booking plus GBP 200 for any extras taken.
