Friendly, welcoming and very helpful staff with an excellent menu of lovely home cooked food - the steak and ale pie and the full English breakfast were particularly good. Everything you could possibly need in the rooms, even biscuits which was a nice touch. Very clean with lovely large white fluffy towels and a powerful shower. This was our third stay at the Oak and we will certainly be staying here again when we are next in the area

An extremely friendly hotel. I was unable to drive because I had injured my knee and the owner very kindly drove me to where I had to be on the Monday. Clean and comfortable with everything you need for a short stay. Had plenty of pillows and you didn't have to ask for extras. Motel style a little different to what we are used to but at least it was quiet (no corridor doors slamming in the night).
