Hotels near East Midlands Airport

We booked this hotel through Holiday Extras and got a great deal on one night's accommodation and parking for five days. We arrived quite late at night after a very long frustrating drive but the guest services manager couldn't do enough for us to make us feel comfortable. He found a space for us when there was no space left in the car park and even allowed my partner to grab a bowl of cereal from the breakfast bar. This is a charming and historic building which has been tastefully refurbished in the last few months. I stayed here with my wife for a romantic weekend and the service and ambiance were first rate. Rooms were well appointed and very spacious and the restauarant food made the weekend one of our best breaks for a long time. I stayed here for just one night before a flight from East Midlands Airport. The hotel itself is quaint and traditional, located a stones throw from EMA. A shuttle bus service runs 24 hours, every hour, from a stop just a few hundred metres from the hotel. I was greeted by Julie, who was absolutely lovely and so chatty. My husband and I stayed at Yew Lodge the night before our flight to Brittany from East Midlands Airport. We payed the princely sum of £80 for their airport package (discounted through my work,usually about £110) For this we got a nights accommodation,breakfast,a weeks parking and transfers to and from the airport. I stayed at this hotel overnight with my sister on a 'get away from it all' trip. We found it on the internet and booked direct with the hotel via e-mail. The booking process was very efficient and we as we booked a 'beauty break', we had to speak to Roz the beautician, and this also was very efficient. E-mails and phone call follow ups were spot on. We stayed at the Priest House Hotel for one night for a friend's wedding. We arrived early (about 12.45) but were checked into our room immediately, which was nice. We had a special deal as part of the wedding party for £135 for a room in the main house. The room was quite small, but nicely furnished and very clean. The bathroom was modern, and clean too. We stayed here to attend Download Festival which was a 10 minute trip in the car. We stayed in a Deluxe room with a four poster bed. The rooms are all converted barns and really quaint. The rooms are very very poorly soundproofed but this is due to the building being so old and renovated. I took earplugs as i had read some of the reviews on here prior to going though and I couldn't hear a thing. well what can i say about my stay here. Its simple my wife and i and my eight old daughter did nt want to leave.The whole experience from the time i walked through the door was excellent.The staff,food,rooms and atmosphere was brilliant.Mr Kumar and his wife are lovely jolly people and the staff were kind,helpful and very friendly.We had never eaten indian before but we ended up eating there every evening.They have an excellent beer garden with playground for the kids.The rooms were pleasent wit - Norman
