  janette and brian made our stay at the lakes special. we arrived to a big smile from janette and as it was our anniversary she left a card and chocolates for us which i thought was really lovely x x x the rooms were spotless and breakfast was to die for x janette and brian are so friendly and helpful i would recommend anyone to stay there x x x - ... what people say » Clean, efficient, friendly, very good value for money. The owners were prepared to drive me to a conference if there wasn't a bus. This is an establishment that goes out of its way to make your stay comfortable.

  fantastic place to stay,ran by lovely couple Steve & Gail. after a long journey our exhaust bracket on car had snapped,while Gail showed us to our room Steve strapped exhaust up to get us home after our stay. the room was clean & nicely decorated with everything we mite need,bathroom was clean & a good size. breakfast was lovely with ... what people say » plenty to choose from & full English filled us right through to evening mean. after breakfast Steve & Gail showed us maps of different walks a - - Owners of the guest house are excellent. Provided useful information of places to visit, eat and drink - Free parking at the house - Windemere town is a few minutes walk and the lake approx 15mins walk (or £3.50 taxi) - Clean comfortable room - Direct access to room from garden by the car park making it easy to bring in bags and not disturd anyone if getting in late - Free WiFi - Good breakfast - Excellent value for money given the cost of hotels in the area.   I highly recommend this place. Friendly staff, wonderful choice and quality of breakfasts. The owner, told me he used to own a fish restaurant so that's obviously why the fish dishes are so perfect. Modern, bright up to date bedroom with a fabulous power shower. I have stayed at many B and Bs in this area and this surpasses the lot (and it's a lo... what people say » t cheaper than many of the others) Great location. - Great location. Safe and easy walk to both Windermere and Bowness. Food was unbelievable. Huge choice and excellent quality. Dining room is modern and there was a good atmosphere at breakfast time. Staff were efficient and friendly. Our budget room was clean and cofortable. Perfect for our stay. Limited parking on the premises but lots of free and unrestricted parkining across the road.

  the friendly nature of the hosts, the wonderful information they provided both in a written and verbal manner about the area and the breakfast - wonderful - The guest house was central to where we wanted to be. The friendliness of the owners. First impressions and facilities were excellent.

  Excellent location. The apartment was very well equiped and the ownermade us feel very welcome. Although we stayed there in summer it wasquite cold and wet but heating was available all day if we wanted touse it. It was a real home from home which made catering for a childvery easy. - The guest house is very warm and welcoming and cleaned to a high... what people say » standard.
