    The Hotel is spotlessly clean. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. It is very close to the city center with lots of bars and restaurants on the way in. I would recommend The Mercat Gastropub for the tastiest food and drink and very friendly staff. The Hotel breakfast is superb and will definitely set you up for a day of site seeing.     Absolutely wonderful place to stay!!! We came with a 4 month old, and they could not have been more accommodating! It was raining and they even lent us umbrellas for the day. The room was wonderful, clean and the staff were beyond nice. I would recommend this place to stay for anyone visiting Edinburgh. Location, Price, customer serviceand general atmosphere was more than I could have hoped for. We didhave one problem that when we first got our room it wasnt clean butthis was quickly rectified and we got a new room and a welcome pack.Only other problem was tv reception but I did not spend much timewatching tv anyway.

    This was our first trip to Edinburgh. We were hoping to book a hotel closer to the city centre, but as ours was a last minute booking, we were limited for choice. As it turned out, the Britannia was just perfect for us and we're now very pleased we chose it. My partner is a University student studying Fine Art, and we were on he - The price was nice and the sleep was good: these are main criteria for a good stay. The hotel itself is ugly, massive, chain-like, but people are okay, walking distance to town attractive, there is a park and a river road, so, I recommend this place!

    Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Our hostess, Linda is an absolute sweetheart. She was extremely helpful and very accommodating. Even after being late by almost 30 mins, she agreed to serve us fresh breakfast.     The Dene Guest House was the perfect choice. Not only I was provided with a clean, spacious and beautifully designed en-suite bedroom with great views but I had as well the valuable help of Ilio and Hamish in every possible aspect (from giving advice on how to spend leisure time to pointing me in the right direction whilst I was looking for a job ... what people say » in the city). The owners are extremely friendly yet never intrusive or insistent. I am already planning to go back soon! - Perfect location, close to centre of town. Received a very warm welcome, lovely people running the bed and breakfast in a relaxed, efficient way, they couldn`t have been more helpful. My room was clean, comfortable and had all I needed, the house itself is a beautiful old Edinburgh town house. Fantastic breakfast and I look forward to staying again for my next great night out in the big Toun!

    We loved the apartment. Just big enough for a couple, with a separate living area. Nice big comfortable bed in the bedroom. Free Wi-Fi. Dishwasher and washing machine, microwave, fridge and all the kitchen stuff one may need. I liked the shower gel and shampoo the apartment provides (full-size easy to use bottles as opposed to standard hotel stuff... what people say » ). Location-wise, it's about a ten-minute walk from Princes Street, with lots of restaurants and pubs in the neighbourhood. You also get 10 to 20% off - We only booked an apartment as we couldn't find a hotel. We were pleasantly surprised with Fountain courts & the equipment , washing machine & dishwasher plus the usual.We found the apartment much more relaxing & we had more freedom about breakfast & dining in. Would definately stay here again.Staff were friendly & helpfull. Easy walk to the castle & city centre.

    Great location and convenient for pubs cafes, shops and sight seeing. Our room situated at the back was quiet and we had a good night's sleep. Very helpful and cheerful receptionists. The fire-alarm went off on one occasion, firemen turned up and declared it as a false alarm, at least we felt safe.     The location is fantastic, just 100 meters from Haymarket station and also easily accesible from the airport. Besides, the main attractions are also located within walking distance. No sweat! The staff had put on the heating in the room in advance so it was lovely and warm. I was leaving before breakfast started and they had laid out cereal and toast making facilities to use. They have spent a lot of money on new carpets and upgrading bathrooms to make them clean and very fresh. Very strong and secure wi-fi Puts a lot of the big brands to shame

    The location is superb! I was impressed with the variety of the breakfast selections. The hotel offered a 20% discount on the parking garage, which was only 1 block away from the hotel. - The staff went above and beyond. When they found out our 8 year old daughter was with us, they added a double bed for not extra charge.
