This B&B is awesome. From the start, Davy was welcoming and
accommodating. I arrived in Edinburgh early and went to the B&B to
drop my bags off. I arrived after breakfast was served but Davy kindly
made me an omelet, toast, and tea. Then he showed me the room that was
intended to be mine, talking me through the amenities. When I returned

I liked everything from the beginning as I was met at the door with a handshake and a nice hello. Mr. Lapping is a fine cook so there's no need to go anywhere for breakfast. He answered my thousand questions about the area with patience and great knowledge. The guest house is located in a somewhat quieter part of Edinburgh that I think is a perfect location. Downtown is within walking distance (even though the bus stop is just down the street) and it's a straight shot the other way to the a

We had a fabulous one night stay at The Chester Residence. Staff were very helpful and the suite was fantastic. Would highly recommend to anyone and return to this hotel without a doubt.

The apartment space was luxurious, comfortable, very well thought out and utilised - with modern open-plan living in mind, balcony with fold back door to seamlessly bring the outside space in, serviced to a high standard daily; friendly and very helpful staff. Very central location at the 'Lawnmarket' on the 'Royal Mile' in the Old Town, in the shadow of the castle itself - great for sight- seeing most within a very short walking distance and only a short bus ride to others.

We stayed in apartment 11 on the third floor. The view was incredible of
St. Giles Cathedral. The location superb two blocks from the castle.
Many restaurants and shops on the royal mile. Many tourists but inside
the apartment calm and relaxing. A bit of noise at night as shops and
restaurants were cleaning up and ghost tours ending but by 11pm all went
quiet until about 7am. We enjoyed our stay as it was close to everything
including Waverly train station.

We arrived and were greeted by Stuart, who was very friendly and courteous during our check-in process. Then he took the time to give us a map and explain the many different things to see and do and made suggestions on how to go about it. He was very helpful. Every time we saw him at the desk as we were coming and going, he would make time to engage in conversation if we sought it out. He made phone calls for us, he helped us rent a car, he helped us plan day trips, and really went above and be

A bit pricy for a generic hotel without any character, but clear and
comfortable. Convenient for airlines connection..about a 8 pound cabride
(10 minutes) from airport. Restaurant generic, American style, very
busy. Nothing else around (in an industrial park) so no other eating
options. Check with attendant to make sure no groups are booked for
dinner, otherwise no dinner for you!
