    The hotel is a 5 mins walk from the sea front. And a ten min walk from the old village. We had a car- but there are bus stops everywhere and they seem to be very regular. The options for breakfast were very varied and even amended it to suit my needs. The weather was very cold and Gillian the owner gave us an extra he - Loved everything about it. Best ever breakfasts, with all you could ask for. The rooms were stylishly decorated and very comfortable and pleasantly warm when it was cold outside. The hotel is well situated for the beach, transport links and the lovely old village. Gillian and Andy, the proprietors, were very helpful in suggesting the nicest places to visit and how best to get there. All in all a great hotel.

    Guy and Claire are a very friendly couple who will do what they can to make your stay an enjoyable one however long it is for. The room was very clean and spacious, the bed we had was a queen size and was very comfortable. There was plenty of tea and coffee to be had in the room. Also they had a bar stocked with a small selection of tinned beers, ... what people say » wine and spirits. All in all we had a very cheap and enjoyable stay. - We were very impressed with everything about this B&B. The rooms were spotless everyday, the breakfast facilities were great, very near to beaches, cafes, and local bus & train stations. We wanted a relaxed few days away and we got exactly that thanks to our hosts hospitality. Definitely be returning.

    Foxhills is located just a short walk from the centre of Shanklin old village and is an ideal hotel for a short break on the Isle of Wight. The owners made us feel extremely welcome, the room was comfortable and the breakfast was superb. A particular pleasure was James and Paula's suggested "Round the Isl - The hotel was in a great location for Shanklin, it was clean very comfortable and had a fantastic breakfast collection. James and Paula were very helpful as well as organising our ferry travel they also had a handy pack in the room with local walks and island attractions, they also requested guests to review where they had eaten, this certainly helped with our decisions. Overall a fantastic place and would stay again if ever on the island.

    A lovely hotel in a gorgeous location, a 5 min walk to the beach and also to the old village.     I cannot praise the Fernbank enough. The owner could not have been more helpful or hospitable. The hotel is beautifully decorated cared for. The public areas were very relaxing to sit in. The room I stayed in was spotless and very comfortable. Although I did not use the pool it was very inviting. The Fernbank delivers a high quality of service and comfort and we would certainly go back.

    Lorron is a very nice and kind hearted lady. The facilities are very nice. There is a beautiful beach on the back side of the hotel. It's a good chance to see the sunrise. - The staffs and owner Lorraine were so nice and they felt more like our family! Very warm and welcoming atmosphere!

    Probably the best B&B I have stayed in within the UK (and I have been to a lot). Very friendly owners and lovely clean room! We stayed in the Captain's Room which was nicely decorated with very large bathroom. The room had an ironing board, hair dryer, coffee and tea maker, and pretty much any toiletries one could need.     Myself and my adult daughter were delighted with the welcoming owners and comfortable facilities at Westbury Lodge.We had a lovely ground floor en suite twin bedded room, which I found convenient, as I am not as mobile as I used to be.     We stayed here 3 times in recent weeks with a sick relative in hospital on the island. The staff were exceptional, very caring, compassionate and helpful. The cottage was warm, spacious, very well equipped and had lovely comfy beds. It was quiet & well-situated for getting around the Island with bus stop and supermarket just outside. Just what... what people say » we needed at the time. Thank you. - We loved the cottage, the cleanliness and facilities inside the cottage. It had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Fresh linen, comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen and a great ambience. W e would love to go back. Would highly recommend this place for families and even for couples. Great value for money. 5 stars for price, facilities and comfort.
