    We were in paignton for a wedding, and liked the fact that we had a key to the front door and were able to come and go as we pleased, the staff where very helpful in offering more facilities ie curling tongs and hairspray etc breakfast was very pleasnt and lots of menu choice, we also liked the fact that we picked our breakfast before hand. the br... what people say » eakfast area was clean and tidy and you couldnt smell the cooking, (very off putting at some places we have stayed) - Beecroft Lodge is excellently situated if you want to explore Torbay. It is in a quiet street and is scrupulously clean and very comfortable. The owners are friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was excellent with free range scrambled eggs, very good smoked salmon, fresh fruit and home-made marmalade. A real find.

    On my long journey from Nottingham to the Two Beaches I received a reassuring text from Alex & Maria informing my room was ready for my arrival which I found comforting. On arrival I was shown the facilities and taken to my room by Alex of which I have to say exceeded my expectations with a pleasant room with a sea view . Latter on I ventured down to the lounge bar to do some work on the free wifi on my lapt - A very friendly welcome on our arrival,Everything explained. Owners very attentive but not intrusive. Bedroom and furnishings immaculate and the view from our room (8) across the bay very impressive. Binoculars in the room a nice touch. Breakfast was cooked to perfection and the choice had to be seen to be believed. Given the lack of parking generally in the Torbay area the car park was much appreciated. No noise heard at all at nigt even with windows open. Will certainly be visiting again 4 st

    Exceeded my expectations, the room was large with lots of free space as was my en-suite. The breakfast selection was amongst the best I have ever had, can you believe they even make their own bread and yogurt! Both of which were simply delicious. I have travelled widely in the UK and if every BandB I stayed in was a good as this I would be a very h... what people say » appy woman.     The warm and friendly welcome, fresh cooked produce for breakfast with lots of choice. Our room was very comfortable and the surroundings were peaceful and relaxing.     I had a wonderful week here. Caroline and Alan made me feel at home, and although travelling on my own I felt I was not lonely. The lovely surroundings with Dunster, Minehead or the Dunkery Beacon kept me busy and the beauty of nature in this area provides a welcome break to the stresses of everyday life. Altogether I had a very relaxing and uplif... what people say » ting holiday. - The location was perfect with everything on our doorstep, we parked the car in their car park(added bonus) and did not need to drive again till we left. Caroline and Alan great hosts with a very welcome tray of tea when we arrived and great breakfast. Longmead is a beautiful house that is full of warmth and character.     The location was excellent for the coast and Dartmoor. The hotel has a calm restful atmosphere and this is led by the owners.     David, Pam and their daugher made my stay very pleasant and i had a very quiet and restfull time. I truly enjoyed my 5 days of holiday there. - Welcoming, relaxed, helpful! We enjoyed our stay so much that we plan to go again next year!

We asked about breakfast as we had not booked it and to our surprise and delight, offered us breakfast on the house due to our room being considerably smaller than the others in the guesthouse. Staff were very friendly, always checking if we needed anything and very efficient on checkout. Will be very happy to stay there again.

    Firstly, the location: ideal for the city centre and Exeter Central railway station (literally next door), bus station, the quay area (by the river - 7/8 min. walk) and Exeter St.Davids (15 min walk). Location very close to high street shopping and easy to get to main rail station although a hit far with suitcases, but okay with a backpack. Easy taxi ride. Good pub atmosphere on ground floor

    The Seagate has just opened for business this year and this was my first visit, but not my last. I was very happy with the friendly staff and my room was first class just has well as a 4 Star hotel. The food was very well presented, i thought the menu was a bit pricey but i was not disappointed with my evening meal. A good renewal of a once-failing harbour-side pub, and no longer a place to avoid. 1st class staff, excellent food, great rooms (especially #1 which has a HUGE bed!!)     Beautiful surroundings. Peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.     The location is superbe, with magnificent views from our room, the dining room, lounge and terrace. The staff were most attentive and helpful, and we enjoyed the food.
