    Plenty of space to move around in the room and to hang your clothes up, Freeview tv & radio, comfy bed, tea making facilities (we took extra tea bags & milk), plenty of parking space, fairly close to Whitehaven (by car), option to eat at Brewers Fare - I have stayed in this hotel before.     Reception girl was really nice, had professional approach to all my questions and tried to help me out whenever we needed..Room was really clean and free wifi was a good facility every one want to use and enjoy..,and free parking..free cancellation if u change ur plan also give u a peace of mind.. - Friendly staff, and clean room.     The manager Tony was fantastic. He made us feel very welcome and was freindly.Natalier was also freindly and welcoming.The food that the head chief Sally prepared was excellent it was cooked fresh and served piping hot. Everyone made us feel so welcome as though we had been go - As a cycling group, several of us arrived late but they kept the kitchen open late to feed us which really was appreciated.     Roz and Garry made my husband and I feel very welcome.The break was to celebrate my 50th birthday,we couldn't have chosen a better place.The hotel was very clean,bed was comfortable and the breakfast was amazing,good value for money.We will go back again . - They are very friendly and you will be really enjoy to stay in this guest house.

    We stayed for one night with our three children (aged 9, 7 and 5). The location is wonderful with views over Derwent Water. We had not stayed in a Youth Hostel before but it really suited us and we would definately consider going back. The children enjoyed the pool table and table tennis table. We travelled to Keswick by train and bus then walked to the hostel. Staff were very pleasant and helpful Food was good value, very tasty and plentiful. Liked having a proper sheet, pillow case and clean duvet cover. Self catering provision was excellent. Great facilities for children (table tennis, pool, games). Loved my stay.

    I enjoyed my stay very much and the staff were friendly, although the room was small (single) it was clean and comfortable. The meal was lovely alot of food on the platealong with a nice friendly atmosphere in the bar. - i really enjoyed my stay at the hotel and its good value for the money. I recommond it very much.

    Ian was a very good host, he was friendly and informative and easy to talk to. This stay was made more enjoyable with his personal touch. He prepared delightful English & Vegetarian breakfasts for us. We loved his mushrooms and coffee. The room is small but cosy. This isn't a luxury hotel so for the price we paid, it is great value-for-money.... what people say » We all got restful sleep. The mattresses are very comfortable. All in all, the guesthouse is affordably priced. The host's attentiveness, the hearty - the owner was very friendly and welcoming, the food very good and house very comfortable. we suggested they get a visitors book, the owner said he rarely read reviews on letsbookhotel.com but we said he should! he would receive many positive comments from guests like us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
