  Room was fab. Suppose the decor was not right up to date but room was big, it was tidy, (no marks on walls, no signs of looking tired at all), bed was comfy, loads of tea and coffee, bathroom was also large and everywhere was super clean. Reminded me of a fab european and new york holiday. Really relaxed. Would recommen - Good central location near to Prenton park football ground and also Prenton. Staff were extremely attentive and helpful. We experienced no heating on the 1st night. After reporting the problem to management we received a replacement heater within ten minutes As a apology for no heating we received a free dinner from the restaurant downstairs.   Dave the hotel owner is a superb host. He couldn't do enough for his guests. Hotel is work in progress but so far impressive. Even dropped us off at the railway station to save us getting a taxi when we left. Breakfast was plentiful and cooked well. Hotel is in an ideal situation if you don't want to pay Liverpool city prices. Would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay again when we n - We got lost and when we rang the hotel Hayley went on google maps and very calmly directed us straight there, when we parked and came in she had the kettle on for a very welcome cuppa! While there was no food available a selection of take away menus where offered and cutlery, plates and napkins provided. Breakfast served by Dave the next morning and was delicous.   The location is ideal for the Birkenhead-Belfast ferry ( 5 mins). Also the Mersey tunnel. It is also directly opposite the train station into Liverpool. The hotel itself is an old building but i found it very clean with very helpful staff from reception to dining room. The food was very good,both evening dinner and a hearty breakfast. There is an... what people say » elevator to all floors which is a great help as i use a cane. In summery a very good value for money. - EXcellent location, it is opposite Birkenhead Central station; I left a laptop charger in our room and the staff were very helpful when I wanted to recover it. Very convenient for the Mersey ferry and wartime German U-boat museum.
