Arrived into hotel after a long flight late at night with 2 young children. Nicole was so genuinely helpful and caring and got all our check-in smoothly done. All our tiredness & tension was alleviated and had a great nights sleep.

A bit pricy for a generic hotel without any character, but clear and
comfortable. Convenient for airlines connection..about a 8 pound cabride
(10 minutes) from airport. Restaurant generic, American style, very
busy. Nothing else around (in an industrial park) so no other eating
options. Check with attendant to make sure no groups are booked for
dinner, otherwise no dinner for you!

We loved the design & decor of the Dakota. It was very modern & stylish. The staff from beginning to end were amazing ... So so friendly. We stayed for 2 nights but on the 2nd night we decided we wld like our 9 yr old Grandson who we were visiting in Edinburgh to stay the night with us. We asked reception if that wld be possible & within 10 mins a z bed was being set up in our room. We had a great weekend & will definitely be going back. My Grandson was well impressed also.. Hi -
The location was great, not to far out of Edinburgh. There is a bus stop 50yds from the hotel and you can get a bus to Edinburgh which costs £3- 50p return. which is a dam sight cheaper than the £20+ it costs to park for the day. The Hotel staff are friendly and helpful the hotel is a very modern design and beautifully appointed. Don't be put off by the fact its next to Tesco's on a retail park, its just brilliant planning as if you are going out for the day you can go and get food to take with

The location is excellent. Great parking and very good welcome at check-in. Warm and homely. The room was huge and comfortable with great heating when needed. Very clean. The staff were very friendly and nothing was a bother for them. David was our first point of contact and Colin (the older one...lol) was fantastic with my grand-daughter. Meals were excellent, there was a wide variety of drinks. The security locks in the corridors made us feel extra safe and the room we were in was very comfortable with a very spacious bathroom. Overall I cannot think of a single negative thing to say about this experience. Will Definitely be back. Thank you.

Incredible place under railway bridge which looks like a film set from a movie shot according to some Jules Verne book. Apart from the breathtaking view from the hotel window , the whole place has a welcoming feel , with attentive staff making it a lovely stay . The bar area was lively and the meals were good value for money . The rooms have been refurbished and the bathroom fittings are all brand new and modern. The location is ideal as it is 5 mins walk , albeit up a steep brae , to the railway station with frequent trains into the capital . If you liked the film Local Hero then you will love this hotel !
