  A surprise one could get such a charming hotel, with style and soul for a fair price in the centre of Rome! Owner and staff very friendly, helpful and there for you 24 h/day! The room was spotless, linen towels (one face, one feet) were almost starched in shining bathroom. We even had a french balcony, no disturbance from the major road outside. Bu... what people say » ffébreakfast excellent, not just toast and tea/coffe - The location of this hotel was excellent. It was very close to most of the major sites that we wanted to see. The breakfast was great! The staff was very polite, most spoke English very well, and was very accommodating. We woke up late one morning and were on our way out to buy breakfast and they brought the breakfast items back out so that we could eat there - we didn't even ask them to do this.

The owner is super kind, I spent over 20 days travel around Europe with heavy baggage, only this guy came out and help my wife to bring the luggage upstairs. He did the samething to offer his help to bring down all our luggag - Right from the moment of the initial, the team at Matisse couldnt have been more helpful and professional. Roberto, the owner, was charming. The relaxed atmosphere was welcome after a long day travelling. His restaurant recommendation was perfect. Although they were fully booked on our last pass thru Rome, the staff once again went above and beyond by helping us find alternate accommations in their neighbourhood.   We had a very pleasant stay in the B&B Roma Central. Our room was more than big enough for two guests, very clean and very cozy. And in addition the balcony was a great benefit. The room has a fridge and a TV with nearly endless channels in different languages. There is a great supply of very good and not too expensive restaurants nearby the apartment. So, everything was - B & B Roma, was everything we expected. Good location, close enough to the train station to collect our car, near the metro, but in excellent walking distance of most of the sites of Rome. The apartment was clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated, with tea and coffee making facilities, fridge and hairdryer.
