A surprise one could get such a charming hotel, with style and soul for a fair price in the centre of Rome! Owner and staff very friendly, helpful and there for you 24 h/day! The room was spotless, linen towels (one face, one feet) were almost starched in shining bathroom. We even had a french balcony, no disturbance from the major road outside. Buffébreakfast excellent, not just toast and tea/coffe.
all reviews » The location of this hotel was excellent. It was very close to most of the major sites that we wanted to see. The breakfast was great! The staff was very polite, most spoke English very well, and was very accommodating. We woke up late one morning and were on our way out to buy breakfast and they brought the breakfast items back out so that we could eat there - we didn't even ask them to do this.Location of the hotel excellent, close to Metro, on main bus route and within walking distance of many sites. Hotel clean and comfortable. Hotel staff extremely helpful, advising places to visit and the best way to get there. We received a complimentary bottle of champagne as this was our honeymoon. A sign out in the square might be helpful.There was no window, i.e. the so-called window faced some kind of utility room, which was full of matrassess, bedcloths etc, so the curtains were to be kept closed all the time. It´s a bit expensive. Only thing I'd grumble about was there was no tea or coffee facilities in the room however a mini bar was available. Bathroom facilities were good but would have preferred a larger space. We were not keen on the floor when wet as it was slippery.Our room for 2 adults and 2 children was the tightest of the four Italian hotels we stayed in, although adequate. The attached bath was very well decorated, very clean and well furnished but a bit too small .there is no loung to relax. outside rooms over the Via Nazionale were loud with the window open but the windows closed blocked the sound very well.They need to address the single bed issue. Their single beds are smaller than an English single bed no room even to turn over hence poor nights sleep. Beds. I asked for 2 twin beds and I had 1 queen. lack of coffee making facilities in room. Difficult to find the front door entry - the ringing the bell to gain entry is fine once you know !!!. Smallest room for the money on entire trip to Italy. As it was small can hear people in corridors and when people go for breakfast, quite noisy.
