Rome Hotels

This is a great value hotel. It's actually in a 19th century Roman apartment block, so you get to use a cage lift. Very cool! Staff are very nice and helpful, very honest too. Sandro is a great manager, loves his job and does his very best to make your stay great. Deborah the tour guide is lovely and extremely knowledgeable about Rome and its history. We found this hotel after a bad experience at our first hotel. The room and bath were very big for Italy standards. The air conditioning worked great depsite the hot temperatures outside. The staff was very helpful and i thought the price was very reasonable for what we got. Internet access is available in the hotel for a small fee. The location is not very close to subway transportation, but we enjoyed walking everywhere anyway. - Pauline

Stayed with Mum & 2 sisters so needed a large room. Mum can have difficulty walking at times so convenience to the station was a must. as our flight was arriving late at night and we wanted somewhere close to the station as we had to buy tickets for a train leaving at 8am the next morning. After reading mixed reports we were nervous about booking so only booked the first night and chose somewhere else for the 2 nights before our return flight home. Hotel Dorica has everything that can make a stay in Rome comfortable. The owner, Peter, is friendly, helpful and efficient. He understands the off-season. The hotel offers great rates at the moment. A double room for 75 Euro a night is a steal. Rooms 23 and 24 share a small courtyard at the back and are ideal for smokers. Hotel Adriano was fabulous! It's located two blocks away from Piazza Borghese (not to be confused with the Villa Borghese), right near the Spanish Steps, tucked into a quiet little side street. The hotel is rated as 3 stars but I would have guessed it was a 4 star hotel. The whole hotel has been recently remodeled in a clean, contemporary chic look. ...Conveniently located one block from the Lepanto Subway stop, walkable and clean area, comfortable and clean hotel with nice breakfast included every morning. The only things that were small (compared to US standards) were the elevator and the shower. But otherwise, the hotel was very comfortable and charming. On arrival we were escorted to the garage and our boot was opened and cases removed before we got out of the car! Very helpful and friendly staff throughout our stay and couldn't do enough for us. The room was lovely, spacious, clean and very comfortable and the balcony was an added bonus that we didn't expect. Breakfast was of a good standard for a buffet breakfast with lots of variety, hot food available as well as fresh cold foods. Location was brilliant in our opinion, very close to the trai - John

Hotel Ranieri was exactly what we wanted. They were able to accomidate 3 rooms for 3 couples at a very competitive price. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. There was renovations being done on the exterior of the hotel which made it a little difficult to find but still we found it. The hotel is very modern. The rooms all had air conditioning, televisions, mini fridge/bar and private bathrooms. There are multiple stairs but they have an elevator so it's not a problem. They have a bar b - Lee
