Rome Hotels

We just returned from a 4-night stay at the Residenza ai Coronari and are looking to return within the next couple of months! The occasion was my 40th birthday and I could not have had a better time anywhere. What a wonderful little gem this pensione is in the heart of Rome! Every sight is within walking distance (Pantheon, Trevi, Vatican, Spanish Steps, etc.) as well as being in such a pretty part of the city. Piazza Navona is great for watching the world go by accompanied by a drink and snack. - Susan

Hotel Dorica has everything that can make a stay in Rome comfortable. The owner, Peter, is friendly, helpful and efficient. He understands the off-season. The hotel offers great rates at the moment. A double room for 75 Euro a night is a steal. Rooms 23 and 24 share a small courtyard at the back and are ideal for smokers. This hotel is well positioned directly in the centre of Rome. Great to visit popular landmarks such as Collosseum, Vatican, Pontana di Trevi ect. The room was very nice and clean. Staff were also very friendly. - Michael

We, a family of four, stayed at the Palace at the end of August to mark a significant birthday. A junior suite and a twin room were booked and were ready for us on arrival and next door to each other as requested. The rooms were ok despite the fact that they were on the road side of the hotel rather than the garden and were low down. But we didn't come to Rome to spend time in the rooms! A bottle of champagne and bowl of fruit in the suite were a nice touch. The noise wasn't too bad at all. But - Sarah

Imagine throwing open your shutters in the morning and watching the Piazza Navona wake up! The location and view is worth every penny. We had the large suite and it was modern and clean. Excellent bathroom. Don't let the entrance scare you off. You come in a heavy wooden door behind the patio restaurant, through another locked iron gate, up 2 flights of stairs in a dank concrete stairwell, and finally into the suites. Have just returned from a 3 day trip to Rome and booked after a day trawling through this website for hotels! Was not disappointed, the hotel is modern inside, not much to look at from outside and the staff were incredibly helpful. We arrived an hour early, but no problem checking in. Rooms were lovely, clean, minimalistic, free room safes, minibar and nice firm beds. Great location, about a 20 minute walk to the vatican/St Peters and totally walkable to the rest of the great attractions. Great - David

We stayed here for four nights and found it to be exactly what we expected. The hotel staff were all very nice. I arrived six hours after my cousin and her cell phone wasn't working. The front desk called me for her. The doorman was very friendly and suggested restaurants in the area. The room was large enough with a little balcony in the back of the building. No noise from outside. The bathroom was not large, but very nice and clean. Nice fluffy towels. They have room service for breakfast as a - Peter
