Florence Hotels

First of Florence - January 2009 - Excellent Enter via huge wooden doors to a secure courtyard; 2 floors up to the reception area; greeted by a lovely young woman with fairly good english. Enter the apartment which isnt huge but beautifully appointed. Dishwasher, washer/dryer, beautifully appointed kitchen. Bedroom/s are upstairs (not suitable for wheelies). In the fridge they provide a selection of (free) snacks; a welcoming bottle of wine and fresh fruit. Everything you need after travellin - Luigi

Very nice accommodation, it is very obvious a lot of attention was out to small details. Very homy, nice rates. Breakfast was minimal but excellent, clean and near the city center. - Pauline

Really great hotel inside - don't be put off by the street outside as inside the hotel is very clean, comfortable, well decorated and very friendly. It was better than we expected. Very easy to walk to from the main Santa Maria Novella train station (about 5-6 mins) and easy walking distance to the main sites (e.g. Duomo about 10mins, Ponte Vecchio about 15mins). Great breakfasts here where you can fill yourself up for the day ahead on croissants, cereals, fruit, yoghurt and of course capucchino - Graham

We really enjoyed the modernness of the AC Firenze. This was the final leg of our 10-day honeymoon, and were very happy to arrive to such a clean hotel with all the modern amenities. After touring Florence for 4 days, we came to appreciate how modern and new the hotel is, even though it kind of stuck out (nothing else seemed to be as new). Also the mini-bar was free, which was a plus (no alcoholic drinks though, just a variety of water, juices and sodas). The room was well designed, with dark - Barry

We visited Florence for 3 nights and booked this boutique hotel. It was hard to find at first but just remember that it’s conveniently located within the Piazza Santa Maria Novella (about a 5minute walk from the Firenze, S.M.N. train station). The lobby and the rooms were really trendy, except for the tiny shower area. The elevator is also tiny, but luckily we were placed on the 2nd floor, reasonable enough for us to walk up and down. The rooms were very clean, but a little small for 3 people. B - John

Ideally located in central old Florence. 5 to 10 minute walk to all major sights. Rooms spacious, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast Continental buffet more than adequate. Would stay again if visiting Florence. - Henry

My friend and I stayed at the Hotel Aldini for 2 nights in September 2008. We're both young and wanted a fairly cheap hotel at a good location. We could not have found a better one! The hotel is virtually on top of the Piazza del Duomo, in a small building on a side street, on the 3rd floor (with elevator.) We paid 200 Euros for a twin room for both nights - cheaper than anything we could find on the internet at the time (my friend's aunt, who lives in Rome, booked it for us over the phone.) - David

Just back from a few weeks in Italy and this B&B was one of the highlights. excellent location 10 minutes from the train Santa Maria, close to car rental pickup ( we used hertz) and a wonderfull warm and inviting family to welcome you home after a tired day of Florentine sights. Super breakfast spread every day with local treats in season and some of the best cappicino My wife had and she had plenty. Very easy to walk to all the main sights in just minutes. And the view... well this is one - Nicola

A lot of people compalin about the location of the Hilton in Florence, but we thought it was quite all right as long as we could follow the shuttle bus. The driver was very polite and nice and went on schedule all the times we were on the bus. The exterior look of the hotel is not nice, but inside it is modern with contemporary design. Florence is a wonderful town with a lot of special architecture and nice palazzos and buildings. The front desk staff showed hospitality and service and checke - Maureen

I stayed here with my parents and loved it! The family that runs this hotel is extremely nice and helpful. I would stay here again and again. The hotel is located a stone throw away from S.M. Novella train station and can be easily reached by foot. It is on the third floor and the building does have an elevator - somewhat antiquated but it does the trick. If you stay here you will be able to walk to the San Lorenzo market in 2 minutes. We stayed in a triple room. The room had AC, TV wit - John
