Catania Hotels

Residence La Vetreria is definitely one of the best accommodation choices in Catania. I stayed 4 nights in March 2009 and was very satisfied by everything. The hotel itself is located very close to the heart of the historic centre of the city (central duomo can be reached within 5 mins on foot) and abt 20 mins by car from the airport. The building must have been a kind of mansion in the past, that has been carefully renovated without loosing its original style! Each floor has a big living room - Ken

I can highly recommend the Liberty Hotel. It is situated in a calm side street near the Botanical Garden, a five minutes walk away from all the important places of Catania like the CENTRO STORICO. Its comfort is perfect. (The style may appear a bit artificial to foreigners like us, but in Italy they seem to love to revive old styles like "art nouveau" with new techniques. Everything has been decorated and furbished with love and taste, though.) The staff is just exceptional. Very hel - Helen

Recommend looking at their website, we booked a couple of months before and they were offering good deals. We also put in a request for a quiet room, after reading other reviews would confirm that the front rooms overlook steps that transform in the evenings as seating areas for adjacent restaurants. We were lucky and I believe got upgraded- room , at the back , small terrace looking over the rooftiles from the bedroom but different to the other standard rooms having an extra sitting room with - Nicola

We decided to spend a week in Catania and wanted to stay somewhere close to bus & rail stations to facilitate trips away from the city but within easy reach of the centre. The Hotel Villa Romeo seemed to be in the right location and we had read a number of favourable reviews of it. The hotel was easily as good as the reviews suggested and it provided us with a comfortable retreat during a week of torrential rain. a bit tricky to find on foot, parking would have been a nightmare had we not already spent a day or two locally and gotten to know the local streets. Else cant say anything bad, excellent value for money, clean and modern hotel and very centrally located. Staff were very helpful and accommodating . Would def. stay here again - Shabana

The reason why I come to Catania is business, for this reason I always like to stay close to the airport. The previous year I stayed at the Romano (see my review) so this year while booking I decided to book the hotel next to the Romano which is the NH Parco degli aragonesi. BTW I also checked the prices and the NH was 20€ cheaper. This is a typical business hotel as I wrote in the title it is very close to the airport. It also has a shuttle going back and forth. Stayed at the Hotel Jolly Bellini in Catania for two nights. It was such a great experience. The whole place was recently renovated, with marble floors, modern furniture and bathroom fixtures. The room was spotless and comfy with a fantastic bathroom that had speakers so you could listen to the news or music playing on the television. The conceirge staff were friendly and helpful. As we were on a tour we even got to experience the hotel restaurant and it was very clean and the food was tasty. Th - David
