Alghero Hotels

We were a bit spoiled at the last hotel on the other side of the island, but this one was good. Very pro staff, very polite. They let us use their office PC to print our airline tickets. Internet is free for the first hour, then you pay. Really nice location, and a great salt water infinity pool. Drinks are expensive, apart from the coffee. That seems standard in most Italian hotels though. It's 7km from the town, but there are regular busses very cheaply from the door. But like everywhere else - Yuri

Just back from a wonderful week in Sardinia. The hotel was perfect, so clean and the family which run it are like faulty towers, two sisters are hilarious, they start rowing with each other when you ask them something. It is a good 20 mins walk into the lovely old town which does become a little wearisome so try a few restaurants near the hotel.Daps is good with fish tanks all around it. Beach is lovely although try the pine beach 15 mins away , to the right of the hotel, We hired a car and wen - Fiona

We have just had a fantastic stay at the Andregas, which is in a great location to walk to the old town of Alghero (10 mins) whilst not being in the middle of the hustle and bustle. The hotel was modern, clean and very well maintained. The light and airy atmosphere makes a good contrast to the "oldy worldy" surroundings. The comfortable beds and spotless rooms were a good size and standards far exceeded my expectations. The staff were always very helpful and genuinely friendly. Breakfa - Dominic

Excellent pool, very clean hotel.The staff was very helpfull. One suggestion visits the Caves of Neptune, are truly a spectacle. - Garry

i have to disagree with the review saying do not consider,my family of 5 have just returned from a lovely week,the euclipti was bigger than we thought,clean ,a bit basic but overall fine. pool was big, not crowded,staff very nice. we spent more on accomodation last year in cornwallthan here and the standard was better. maria pia beach a few mins walk was wonderful and the town of alghero was a delight. we booked a coach trip though a member of staffa nd saw stintino which looks like the carrabea - Ross

Had a lovely week, the staff always pleasant and helpful.They let me practise Italian but could also speak good English.Our room on the 3rd floor had a great view to the side of turquoise sea. The sun was on the terrace from early morning to late evening. After reading some reviews on the hotel I was wondering about the bathrooms but I found the shower to be very good, the rest of the bathroom was very clean with plenty of fresh towels everyday.The rest of the hotel was very clean and seemed to - Duncan

We had a one bedroom apartment on the 2nd floor (be warned - no lift). It was huge, spotless and adequately equipped. Cleaned on 12 days of our 14.No problems at all. The Complex is a long way out of Alghero old town. A good 2 miles in fact. Its the last building before the gap in building to Fertilia (try Google Earth) Advantages: Quiet Location. Opposite the best beach in the bay. Dotto train in and out of town. 2 good pools. Small but well stocked MiniMart on site. Disadvantages: Isolate - David
