  This hotel is in a prime location, we are two couples in our late 40s and walked everywhere. The pantheon and piazza Navone were an easy 10 minute walk, Vatican 25 minutes, colliseum 15 minutes, LOCATION, LOCATION really important for Rome. The hotel has TWO roof terraces on floor - We stayed three nights at the hotel and enjoyed every minute. The staff were extremely helpful and courteous, the rooms clean - although the shower and elevator were each about half the size of a phone booth, and the breakfast was very good. But what made this hotel so delightful was its location. The neighbourhood is vibrant and exciting, with restaurants, shops and people going about their business everywhere.   Hotel Clarisse is lovely. Simple rooms but clean and comfortable. However it's the staff that make it a great hotel. They go out of their way to help you with your traveling plans around Rome and make you feel welcome. Sergio in particular was wonderful to us. He told us about an amazing local restaurant, found last minute tour to the Vatican, and... what people say » even accompanied me to a shoe repair to help translate. I would stay here again simply for the service. - The hotel staff were all very nice and extremely helpful. They assisted with setting up tours and transportation. They even packed our breakfast to go, since our tour departed before the restaurant opened. We didn't spend much time in the room other than to shower and sleep, but the rooms were comfortable with good air conditioning (August!) and doors that opened to the courtyard. We were able to walk to many of the major sites. It was lovely.

Given the special promotion we obtained, this hotel was fantastic. Still at a normal rate, this hotel should be warmly recommended (in comparison to many others in Roma whi... what people say » ch are by far more expensive but far older and less sympathic). - This was our first stay at the Diplomatic - we arrived at Ciampino Airport at 8.20pm and used the Cottrall bus to take us the Aanagnina metro stantion. From the station at Lepante we walked 15 mins to our Hotel.We found our room very clean and comfortable and the staff very helpful. The breakfast room was very pleasant as were the staff and we enjoyed the food available. Service was excellent.
