  The location is very good, the hotel is in the heart of the city. There are comfortable specious rooms with simple equipment, a common kitchen and dining area. The tidy bathroom has separate entrance, but it's only few steps from the rooms. The staff is very kind and helpful. We got free maps and useful information about the city. A tiszta fürdőszobána - I had no idea when I booked this place that it was an old baron's palazzo! The reception has frescoes, gold leaf and antique furniture all in the baroque style. The rooms are tastefully decorated too, with tiled floors and beautiful furniture. My room also had a balcony facing Via Etnea. It is remarkably well situated, mere minutes away by foot from everything of interest. In addition, the gentleman who runs the place is SO nice! If you stay here, be sure to follow his restaurant recommendation

Air conditioning very good, staff responsible for very sweet and friendly. The hotel´s motto very good and surprisingly occasionally. A bit expensive but great value for money. Plenty of parking and a view of part of the volcano top Etna and not far from the city Catania. Approximately 500 m to the beach but only rocks and no sand beach.

  Familia!!! Before we even arrived at the Hotel Trieste I was in contact with the wonderful couple that owned the hotel. My family's time was limited, unfortunately to only 1 night in Catania. We wanted to go to Mount Etna; see some of the city, and enjoy the food. Hotel Trieste helped organize all of my plans. We got back to the hotel i - The hotel is very clean. The rooms are big. Our room hadd a belcony. We were very surprissed t get tthat quality for the money. The locatio is great, close to everything you wantt to see and busses you need to take. most importantly, it is ran by a young family. I bbegan communication with them even before our arrival. They were great to help us with excursions, directions, etc. We felt veery welcomed and at home. If ever in Catania again, that would be no doubt for us a place to stay.

  A very gNo taood place to stay if you want to stay in Catania and visit the local area . Easy to get to railway staton and bus station. Good value for your money - Nice spacious room right next to the Piazza Duomo! Lovely breakfast and friendly owner (spoke very well english and was friendly)

  I liked the owners. They treated me royally and made me feel welcome and comfortable. The room was beautiful, clean and airy. There was a great bathroom, brand new with a state of the art shower , which also massaged! Plenty of hot water. The bed was comfortable and the room itself was lovely , with the high ceiling and beautiful ironwork balcony ... what people say » of a Baroque palace, which it is! The breakfast was typical Sicilian. Fresh espresso coffee and brioche filled with custard!!!!! The location is righ - I liked the care of the staff and their professionalism and competence in receiving and welcoming customers. The bed&breakfast Etnea55 was very nice, in a very quite palace and on the main street of the city centre.

  The room was comfortable - The hotel is very quiet, great breakfast (from 7am to 10am, if you want more choice get up at 7:30am to 8am, meat, cookies, coffee, natural juices etc), it's even better than the breakfast in much more expensive hotels, very clean, 1.5 km from the university, multiple shops and bus stations nearby.   First impressions don't always count! Yes, the building that this B&B is housed in is a bit run down looking from the outside, but aren't most in Sicily's old towns? The B&B has been beautifully refurbished to the highest of standards. If you get to the Castle (Castello) you are basically there, don't go around in circles like we did - This is a great place to stay. Located in a down at heel piazza close to the fish market and adjacent to the railway line, first impressions aren't encouraging. Inside, however, the accommodation is truly excellent. Recently refurbished throughout, the style is contemporary but homely. Exceptionally comfortable and clean with efficient air conditioning, large bathrooms/showers, good storage space and excellent breakfast. The owners (who speak only limited English) couldn't have been more helpfu

  We stayed this hotel because Alitalia overbooked our flight and did not notify us about our flight to be changed to next day. It is in walking distance to the Catania airport and they provide free shuttle service to/from airport. The hotel is brand new, was opened just 4 months ago. We really appreciated this hotel. They served a packed breakfast ... what people say » to our room in the evening because we were going to leave the hotel before the breakfast would be served. Bed was very confortable, bathroom is big an - I´ve booked this hotel because my mother was blocked because of a flight stop due to the vulcano eruption. All the staff was very gently and helpfull with my mother: the shuttle driver, the staff at reception and room service. The restaurant was delicious with very good prices and the waiters had a lot of attentions. At the end my mother stayed 2 nichts and the terrible experience with the flight was turned to a wonderfull experience to be repeted thanks to that hotel!
