Nice hotel, rooms are very luxureousm, we even received an upgraded room, more an appartment, with seeview. The desk personnel are very helpfull with giving good advice on where to eat (pippito) and what to visit in the surroundings (Aci Trezza). Good connection to Catania if you are driving a car. Ideal for combining visiting Catania and surroundings in combination with relaxation. Take care to take a swimming cap with you for the georgeous pool.
all reviews » Large and luxury apartment of 80 sqm fully equipped with dishwasher, large fridge and freezer. Air conditioning very good, staff responsible for very sweet and friendly. The hotel´s motto very good and surprisingly occasionally. A bit expensive but great value for money. Plenty of parking and a view of part of the volcano top Etna and not far from the city Catania. Approximately 500 m to the beach but only rocks and no sand beach. I think it is excellent place to stay if you are traveling with car in Sicily. Nice staff, nice big and comfortable room. Excellent service. Calm clean pool, but probably not for very small children. New hotel, very nicely furnished and decorated. The hotel is quite noisy, looks like no noise insulation was installed when constructed. The location is not very good, the car is definitely needed. Outside pool was not operating and we were charged Eur 40 (Eur 10 per person) to use the indoor pool, plus another Eur 14 to buy swimming caps. Given we were hotel residents, with 2 children under 12 we felt this was a bit of a rip off for 30 minutes swimming time. If we wanted to use the pool on our 2nd day we would of had to pay another Eur 40, so we left early. in the appartment there weren't dishes, glasses, cutlery NOTHING, only after I asked for. You cannot reach the wellness area directly from the hotel, you should go trough a wellness reception, and then a changing room. The ordinary wellness services are not included in the room price you should pay for all: swimming pool, sauna, gym and so on. Signing off the main road was confusing - we thought the Hotel was coming up when we had already driven past. Toiletries were not up to standard. The staff in reception had difficulty helping with advice regarding tours in the area. To pay to swim in indoor pool for 30 minutes, me and 2 kids Eur30 + Eur 14 for swimming caps. Rate of Eur 10 daily per person. evening is noisi, party's, birthdays till morning. I wouldn't call it "resort", it's more suitable "apart-hotel". Impossible to find without help, it's useless to insert the address in a gps, better look for the restaurant "La Scogliera" in Cannizzaro (the hotel is just outside Catania). More than 20 minutes to check-out. Toiletries not suitable for a 4 star hotel. Typical italian breakfast, not entirely satisfactory for most Europeans/Americans. The location is quite shocking for new comers. It was not easy to find it on first coming. If you have not a car it could be a problem to go round.
