  The setting was great: very near the shops but it felt nicely out of the town and was very quiet indeed. It was a very cosy and romantic place, and the staff were fantastic. We arrived late and the receptionist made us some soup and sandwiches!! Couldn't have chosen a better hotel :) - We found the hotel staff all very polite, helpful and friendly... what people say » . To be fair, we arrived were attending a party nearby, had B/Fast next morning and left so didn't make use of the pub etc. The staff were fine and there had been a slight mix up over booking B/Fast however the owner really went out of his way to sort us out. The breakfast was delicious but beware of the portion size (huge). The coaching inn is in the centre of Devizes. Ask to see the cellars as they were part of a tunnel system that ran all around Devizes in the old days. Room No. 4 is said to be one of the most haunted in England.

  The hotel was excellent for the price. I felt that the photos on the website and the comments from other customers did not give an accurate picture. We would certainly stay at the Old Manor Hotel again if in the area and reccommend it without hesitation.   The whole experience was very good, we used your Hotel as a stop halfway to Cornwall for a weeks holiday and liked it so much that we decided to stop with you on our return. - The hotel was really quiet when we stayed, we even had the leisure centre/gym to ourselves!   The atmosphere was very warm, friendly and very inviting. The setting was in such a nice place with the river/stream running through everything was just lovely. The room and en suite were spotlessly clean and there were ample supplies of tea, coffee etc. The staff were very friendly and attentive and keen to make us feel welcome. I had a very comfortable bed with lovely pillows which meant I slept really well. The from was a good size and clean with a well stocked complimentary basket, made a nice change to have plenty of milk and tea bags.
