    Personal service; beautifully renovated building in a quiet location. Stress-free. The breakfast is all fresh and local; no problem catering for my mother's gluten-free diet. - The rooms, the food, the atmosphere, and the service were all great!     We enjoyed our two nights stay immensely and would happily return. We stayed in Room 7 which I believe is the smallest double room in the hotel but it was very spacious and comfortable for us - with a large separate bathroom and separate dressing area. We were extremely happy with our room, the hotel, the food and the views.     Large clean bedroom. Excellent staff along with good food both at evening meal which we had booked on arrival and breakfast where nothing was too much trouble. - The staff where fantastic, friendly and very helpful. We stayed in the hotel for two nights and will defenitly be going back

    Warm and comfortable with everything we could want. Stayed in Silverdale which was large with a gorgeous bathroom and comfortable bed. Great choice for breakfast. - Friendly atmosphere created by the staff and excellent servicethroughout. Rooms are very spacious and have recently been decorated toa high standard.

    My son who is 4 years old is a fussy eater and it has been a bit of a worry to us on what he is going to eat but since the staff are very helpful and accomodating (I brought some of what my son usually like to eat and I asked the hotel to heat it for us or cook what he likes) that made everything easier. - Happy to cater for gluten-free diet - did ... what people say » not have dinner, only breakfast but was able to have gluten-free toast.     This boutique hotel is one of the best we have stayed in. It was an excellent blend of intimacy, privacy, utter quality, and yet neither snobbish or fussy. The restaurant meal was of an excellent quality which far exceeded our expectations. The location and views were magnificent. In fact, it was the first time in a long time that my husband had ordered a steak and got it cooked perfectly - first time. Nothing was too much trouble. Also the atmosphere in the hotel lounge and bar was very pleasant. All the staff were obliging and helpful. Not many hotels offer this quality of accomodation and facilities. Only thing it would be short on is maybe leasure facility like pool\sauna but guess this would make it a Hotel rather than a pub. Most pleasant and relaxing break.

    The room was quirky inasmuch that it was on two levels with a beautiful refurbished bathroom, a dressing table area and wardrobe, then up four stairs to the bedroom and sitting area. Nothing was lacking in facilities. THe restaurant and bar areas were always busy and popular with walkers and visitors to the area. I shall definitely stay at Wateredg - The Wateredge Inn is in a wonderful location right on the lake. The views out to the boats bobbing on the lake were lovely. The room was nicely decorated and comfortable as was the bathroom. The inns lounge and dining areas were very nice, with again a beautiful outlook. The two Scottish sisters who waited on us for breakfast were lovely and friendly as was Ryan the bar man. The countryside around Ambleside was really beautiful and well worth a longer visit.
