    Delightful cottage in pleasant gardens with horse in stables. Lovely location off quiet lane between Arnside & Milnside. Very close to Morecambe bay, but unfortunately we did not have time to explore the walking potential.. Good restaurant 1 mile away recommended by owners, but other eating options available in Arnside. We will be going bac... what people say » k! - Fantastic break, both the location and the accommodation. We arrived early evening on Saturday to be met by our host immediately upon parking at the top of the drive helping us with our luggage and settling us in to our beautiful room. We would highly recommend this but one night is not enough we could have stayed for a week it was that beautifull!

    this b&b is great. its clean and friendly and every request was answer, even personal items like adapter to our electricity. the location is great close to the ferry and in a quite corner. we even experience a visit of three deers before our departure it was great. we also liked the room. thanks a lot to Emma and Ian for every thing we recomm... what people say » end this place and we surely will book it again. lilach israel - This was a fantastic B&B in a beautiful location. The room was nicely decorated and had a very comfy bed. It had all the little extras like biscuits/shower gel etc. Breakfast was tasty and filling. Location was beautiful, a little bit out of it but this made it a perfect getaway. Local amenities were only 10 min dive away. Would highly recommend.

    I loved the ambience created by Dot and Ed. Comfortable and welcoming in the extreme. The location is wonderful - totally relaxing. Views from our bedroom were fantastic. Everything is close at hand, beach, countryside, small town life. And Black Combe House is the ideal base from which to explore. We will definitely go back. - Lovely stay at Black combe , did this on the spur of the moment and couldnt have picked better . Dot and Ed are two of the nicest most welcoming people , nothing is to much trouble . Warm comfortable room and a breakfast to keep you going all day .     What made the difference here is the small team take the care and attention to be friendly, helpful and welcoming. Liz as the owner and manager is a wonderful host who ensures all the guests are taken care of. There is an option to eat in the bar or in the restaurant, which is very t - The staff were brilliant and the accommodation great for the cost of the stay. The location was simply stunning with a complete panoramic view of the Western Lakes from both my room and the dining room. Food was excellent and great value with a superb breakfast included in the price of my stay. I simply cannot recommend here enough. I will return soon!

    Great welcome, excellent host and hostess and superb breakfast. The room was beautifully decorated and the bed was wonderful - a great nights sleep was had. Lovely sitting area and immaculate bathroom, Close to pubs, quiet and relaxing.     We had a lovely friendly stay in homely surroundings with fabulous breakfasts. We were also given much information in relation to places to visit which was very helpful for our first visit to the lakes. The Mews is very well placed for accessing trains and buses as well as a lovely walk to the lakeside. Throughly recommended. - We appreciate host... what people say » 's hospitality and had a wonderful time in The Mews. The meal is nice and the room is clean with privacy. Last but not least, the host provided very good advice on footpath in Windermere and so we didn't miss any attractive place in Lake District.

    “good budget bed & breakfast and very dedicated owner.” Reviewed 6 August 2013 NEW We are a family of four and stayed at the Peel for 7 nights. The rooms were clean and freshly repainted and on the way to being upgraded with ensuite facilities, new flat screen tvs etc. David the manager was extremely helpful and went out of his way to help us.... what people say » We don't have a car and he offered to take us to Bowness, 45 minutes away and take us back when we had enough, which he did. If there were any querie - I used this hotel for a single night stopover on my way to Keswick for a walking holiday. As such it fitted the bill completely, was comfortable, with good food, and pleasant, helpful staff. I would not hesitate to rebook.
