  The location of the Hotel is fantastic. In the middle of nowhere! The history about the Hotel is fascinating. All the facilities the Hotel offered are first rate. The staff are excellent, the food gorgeous and the rooms very clean and tidy.   The views, the terrace and grounds over looking the lake, the space andold world charm, welcoming staff and we were fortunate to have a lakeside room. Nice to stay in on wet days when lounge available - The hotel was clean and modern, with fantastic views over lake Windemere. The staff were helpful, informative and friendly.
