  Excellent location with fabulous views of the surrounding fells and The Old Man of Coniston from our room No.1 The staff were all very friendly and attentive to our needs which included making up a packed lunch for a day walking in the surrounding fells. Would definitely stay here again - waking up to a fabulous view of the mountains from our bed ... what people say » in room 1, priceless. - Friendly welcome from the owner and a lovely room to spend the 3 nights that I did. Good, hearty breakfasts to set you up for a day on the fells - so much so I didnt need anything else until the evening. Parking is easy (midweek admittedly) and free on the road opposite. Good location with all amenities - and pubs - within easy reach.

  Absolutely lovely couple, really friendly, really easy to chat to, and not at all intrusive. Really lovely house, breakfasts were fantastic, and the views/location are utterly superb. Also importantly as a gay couple, I would definitely class them as gay-friendly for any travellers - no awkwardness whatsoever, I would definitely recommend to othe... what people say » rs :) - This is one of the very best! Patsy and Mike are marvellous hosts and nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Breakfast is great. Tourist advice is willingly provided. All of this is accompanied by charm, good humour, chocolates and Patsy's photography.
