  Very warm welcome, with nice cream tea and biscuits, not to mention our sweet Anabel. Also Janet, friend of Romney, who was there at the time. Feel like staying at home with friends. The house is old and has a lot of English charm and history. Bathroom with bath is beatiful and interested, in an old fashion style. Thanks - Extremely friendly owner/staff. They were very accomodating and couldn't do enough to make our stay exactly as we wanted it. Anything you want Romney to do just ask and she will try her very best! The room was beautiful and the bathroom was large and inviting!!! You also have a guest dining room and lounge which was a lovely touch and we made use of all the rooms.   It was all so homely and another worldy. Loved our bedroom number 8 overlooking the square. Yes, there was a little bit of traffic noise and mild rowdy youths reclaiming their car at night BUT it was atmospheric to feel part of a community. I loved it and I am usually adverse to noise. Our room was like a period piece with fireplace and old fash... what people say » ioned wall paper. I loved it! - The hotel building is beautiful outside and just a short walk from the River Thames at the back. The rooms are very spacious and the beds comfortable. Lechlade is a very attractive Cotswold village, with lovely houses and church.

  Staff, very friendly and welcoming. Lounge area had large open fire, nicely decorated. The breakfast was excellent, cooked to order, high quality produce used, I particularly liked the field mushrooms. - Staff were very committed to making our stay a very welcoming one, would stay there again.
