  We had been warned before that building work was underway but it made no difference whatsoever to our enjoyment and all the staff went out of their way to be both friendly and helpful.   One of the friendliest, most personable hotels I have stayed in (and have been to a lot). We had a big PR event to do and stayed aswell and nothing was a problem!
