Still close to city center if you like to walk. Very friendly stuff, found good solutions for us parking. Room at the top floor had a beautiful view and the terrace at the evening was great. There is a pizza place very close, just over the bridge - very local place. -

The village of Fiesole at this time of year is peaceful and friendly. There are interesting buildings and archaeological remains. There is beautiful countryside around and some good walks, as well as breathtaking views of Florence.. There was a very good exhibition of modern sculpture in the main piazza. This is a lovely old house in a very pretty town in the hills just outside Florence. Its quiet, friendly and comfortable, and the views are simply stunning. I thought this was really good value for money. You can catch a regular bus intot he centre of Florence from just down the road.

A lovely warm welcome. Friendly and very helpful hostess. A gorgeous house and pleasant room. Regular buses down into Florence and up to Fiesole at the top of the hill. We loved this hotel. It was excellent value for money. The room was spacious, the bathroom was big and clean and we had a balcony with a great view. The centre is a 20 minute walk away, but the walk down the river (past a number of good cafe's etc) is worth the effort. It is so quiet at night and cooler than Florence. Dinner on the terrazza overlooking Florence. The antique everything. What better than a stay in a Medici Villa for a visit to Florence! You can buy bus tickets right there and hike up to the road to catch a bus. Nice 20 min walk to Fiesole, or you can take the bus. This hotel is a little gem! Beautiful English decor, very cosy and stylish. Little breakfast area with four tables; breakfast with a choice of breads, jams, eggs, cereals, fresh fruits etc. Our room was big enough for three and had all facilities we needed. The hotel is on the outside of Florence approx 4 km. of the city centre.
