Originally booked the mobile home units which did not suit our needs at all so we upgraded to a cabin which was perfect. The lady at the office was very helpful and a pleasure to talk to. The facilities at the site were spotless and the whole place is lovely. They have a restaurant with good food. There is a shuttle bus that will take you into Fiesole and you can easily catch the no. 7 bus to Florence or a hop on- hop off bus from there.
all reviews » Lovely camping with great views to Florence. The mobile homes are small but enough for a couple. The camping is quiet so is great if you want to rest. Is only 10 minutes far by car from Florence. This is a great budget place to stay - just up a pretty country hill from Florence.The views are special. Convenient - short walk to Fiesole. Great Bar (Italian) & Restauarant, very good English by staff. Location was up the hill from Florence - perfect with vehicle. staff, location, facilities;restaurant and shop. clean, value, hot water, all good. I like the atmotphere. everything. Liked the location very much, nice walk into town, and reliability of the camp shuttle, allowing easy connection into Florence.....staff were friendly and helpful especially on reception...we stayed in a chalet which had everything we needed, nice clean bed linen, and hot showers didn't want for anything else. The pool looked inviting but unfortunately we didn't have bathing caps which was a shame so remember to take theming you want to use the pool. Panorama, quiete. location and parking facility. Would recomend if they are adventureus and if the facilities could be improved with a better mattress and a better pillows. Quiet location and staff were helpful. View at the Florence is outstanding. It would be a good idea to spray the mobile home after check out cause there are a lot of mosquitoes. The travel trailer accommodations were a little tight. Swimming cap compulsory to swim!!. shower had a mind of its own!!. I do not like rubbish. leaving. Nothing much about the campsite but we did find that drinks and food was more expensive in Fiesole than in Florence which surprised us, would advise eating there. Prezzo del camping, distanza dal centro, prezzi molto alti al bar ristorante. Warning to families. Bungalows are tiny and cramped. They say it sleeps a family of four but not if you have any luggage! Even with no luggage you can't move. We moved to a chalet which was adequate but much more money. (55 euros increased to 95 euros per night). poor bed mattress and pillows, very cramped. Be aware that the shop and restaurant close during the off season and its annoying to need to drive back down into town to get something to eat. Also, never believe letsbookhotel.com's messages saying "only one left". Camping trailer is good for sleep and showering but nothing else. Bed is taking all space, you have no free space for movement.
