  This is one of the best hotels I have stayed in. The position is perfect, the outside pool is spotlessly clean and perfect. The reception staff are the most friendly and helpful. My requests were dealt with quickly and effortlessly. Five star rating. - Everything.

  The setting, the fabulous view on mellow Tuscan hills, the extras like the "happy hour" where you can nibble for free, the vegetable garden, the cosy lounge and all the art books/catalogues you can leaf through, the pool of course, the location perfectly suited for visiting Volterra, San Gimignano, Sienna, Florence and even Lucca. And last but not... what people say » least the utter friendliness of the staff. - The group of eight of us stayed at the hotel as our last stop before leaving Italy to bid final farewell to Tuscany. Set on the hillside of the area, the hotel offers comfortable rooms,perfect views and decent facilities. The dinner cooking was wonderful although the breakfast was a bit light. We certainly enjoyed the stay.

  We spent one night on the way to Elba. Fantastic Tuscan views, peace and total relaxation on the go. Maybe a little hard to get to the destination. I would recommend for people who like detachment from the crowds. Near the 20 to 30 km two wonderful small and charming towns. Good restaurant. The staff couldn't do enough to help you, whether it was about your room, the local towns or where the nicest beaches were. They also spoke very good English. The room was great with everything you could need and was overlooking the valley and Volterra.

  When we came in the evening, we thought that we are in the middle of nowhere.
