Friendly and knowledgeable staff. We loved the room though a little small--the bathroom was elegant and very comfortable. Breakfast was great with many tasty selections. The loaction may seem a little way-out but its a short walk to a good beach. The owner was really nice and helped us print our airline ticket in his house. There is a nice area for BBQ out the back, and a little retreat with hammocks. We would recommend this for a group of people to stay as the on-site bar/restaurant is a good place to chill. very comfortable altogether!

It was just perfect, wish we would have stayed here longer. Gioiosa Marea is a hidden gem far away from mass tourism, the beautiful seaview from the train station felt like a red carpet. Beautiful, quiet location and accommodation. Very very relaxing stay. Staff were welcoming and helpful in finding out the best places to visit based on our preferences.
Would also recommend eating at the residence at the weekend as they serve dinner which was local cuisine and excellent value for money.

You really need to put "location for visiting important sites" to your list above. And "charm" - this place offered a great location for visiting Villa Romana del Casale near Piazza Armerina. There was also amazing shopping possibilities for ceramics.This place offered both comfort and charm and the history of this house itself was interesting. The host and staff were very accommodating and pleasant as has been our experience throughout Sicily!
