  The owners of the hotel were very helpful, and the hotel was exactly what we wanted - beautiful location on the sea front, quiet, easy to park, but close enough for a stroll to a number of good restaurants. Room was clean and comfy, air conditioning quiet and effective, and with a marvellous sea view. Breakfast on the sea terrace was simple but... what people say » very tasty.   the owner family and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful although i spoke very little italian. two staffs spoke pretty good english. the room not so big, but is cozy, clean, very nicely decorated with a touch of arabian style. - Very nice place in very good location.   This was the best hotel we've stayed in Italy! We've been to Roma, Firenze, Venezia on similar (cheap) hotels and this was by far the best. The outside look isn't great and can be a shock upon arrival, but most of the buildings in Palermo are like that, so don't be put off by your first impression. We stayed in a spacious room with TV, a mini-fridge, air-conditi - Recently refurbished with modern open public areas on ground floor with small bar area. Very comfortable reasonably sized room in which everything worked very well - efficient AC and excellent hot water pressure although the shower cubicle is one of those very compact jobs. The reception staff are very friendly, extremely helpful and informative and speak good English. The hotel is very centrally located and for the price it would be difficult to find a better hotel in Palermo.

  interior decoration, friendliness of staff - Fantastic hotel on the main road from the train station to the centre of the old part of town. Renaissance furniture everywhere and a huge bed in the room. Was very quiet, but we went off season so it could be louder in the summer.

  This hotel was excellent. In particular the staff were superb. The hotel was very clean and well presented. It is in a great city centre location but is also very quiet. It is close to the airport bus stop and the ferry terminal. Do not hesitate to book. - We stayed there only one night. We were given fresh squeezed orange juice when we arrived, and even though we were quite late arriving they were helpful with where to park our car and how to get into the main section of Taormina. The stuff was extra friendly, hospitable and informative. Nice, clean room with a balcony with a bit view at the sea, very very tasty breakfast. Free parking nearby. We hope to go back to beautiful Taormina one day and we will definitely chose Natalina again and also recommend it to everybody!

  Hotel Italia took up the whole fourth floor in a classic old building typical of Palermo on one of its main streets, via Roma. It was in a beautiful apartment, high ceilings and dark wooden floors, and quaint furnishing. We had a rather small room but we still found it really nice, with a big window and balcony with quaint, wooden shutters facing ... what people say » via roma, with a stunning view of the central station building and the mountain behind it. We had a shared bathroom which was down a long corridor but - Good value for money, perfect location in the central street and very close to the main train station. Room was small but cosy and clean, breakfast was served in the room that made it also quite comfortable. Very nice and welcoming staff; the man working at reception at night shift(unfortunately I don't know his name) was very helpful and friendly.
