  The Petrara Resort is a charming agriturismo resort in Avola. During our stay there, there were no wandering farm animals except for a couple of cats. The pool is really big and kept clean and kids have plenty of room to wander about and play. We had a quadruple room which was quite spacious and very clean with quite comfortable beds. The parking spaces are numbered matching the room number so each guest has his own parkin - What a haven of peace & tranqulity set in beautiful gardens with a very inviting pool - we had a lovely time just wished we`d stayed longer.Our hosts couldn`t do enough for us and even followed us out in the morning to make sure we got on the motorway ok - thankyou for a very relaxing stay.

  The location was perfect - metres from the main street. Really good breakfast - just ask for eggs, bacon, cheese etc. Roof terrace was great, lots of sun loungers and not too crowded. Pool is not huge but fine to cool off in.and has lovely views. They can organise a cheap trip to a nearby private beach which was definitely worth doing. Bus station is about 15 mins downhill on the way home though we did get a - The staff where very friendly and always happy to help. We had a very pleasant week. Rooms are small but big enough not to be too cramped if staying longer the a few days. Was excepting a little noise from other reviews but did not experience any inconvenience late at night.

  Room are quite big and very clean. Wifi is available at an extra charge. Parking is only available in the street. Although they did offer that someone comes for the car to a private garage, at a charge. But that's not an ideal scenario as you need to inform an hour before when you needed the car and they would need to drive the car themselves. When the rooms were serviced each day there were many little additional touches that showed that the staff really cared. Lovely clean, bright rooms with plenty of storage space and good air conditioning. The mini bar fridge and valuables safe were especially useful.

  The Hotel Livingston is on the edge of the island of Ortigia. When you eat in the fourth-floor hotel dining room, the windows on three sides look largely over the Mediterranean, but also over old rooftops. The swimming pool/spa is beautiful and the best feature of the hotel. The restaurant is located in an quaint courtyard. Breakfast was nice but dinner at the restaurant was outstanding!... what people say » Hotel has been tastefully restored from a historic building in a modern style. - This hotel has been beautifully architected within a historically important building. We stayed 4 nights and the staff were very helpful, and were particularly obliging when we wanted to change our room (personal reasons) - they really wanted to ensure that we were happy. Breakfasts were excellent. Location is also excellent with ease of access to the historical sites.

Nicely furnished with oceans of space for clothes, even in the smaller of the two rooms. The large room had a sofa and coffee table making it very homely. Location near to Segesta, relatively near to Palermo... what people say » and Monreale and the coast, including the nature reserves made it an excellent choice for culture, nature and sea. - We had a very short one night stay but the location is great with easy access to many interesting archeological sites and local points of interest. We would hapily return in the future.
