  Tourist House Ghiberti was very close to the Duomo and within easy walking distance of the railway station and all the attractions we came to see. Claudio was an excellent host. Buffet breakfast was simple and very nice. Room was clean and facilities were more than we required (internet etc). We will be recommending to our friends. - The size of both the bedroom and bathroom and the charm of this historic building. It's proximity to the Duomo gave us an excellent central point from which to do all our touring on foot. Breakfast selection was varied and good. Claudio was very helpful in answering all our questions. Having free interent access was great for additional research while in Italy and checking in with family.

  We loved everything! We had 3 rooms during our 2 day stay. Hotel staff was unbelievably helpful. They made our museum reservations, gave us detailed info about Florence, and even tried to get our rental car delivered to the hotel instead of the airport. The rooms were so perfectly Tuscan that I felt like I was on a movie set. Breakfast was fabulous... what people say » . Very highly recommend. You won't be disappointed - Marco is fabulous! He spends time with his guests when they arrive, giving them an orientation to the city and its history. He can recommend everything from the best gellato to resturants, siteseeing, shopping. He gives you his cell phone number so you can contact him with questions while you are out. Snacks water, etc. are available in the dining room all day, as well as cocktail beverages.

As long you know it is a historical building, so we wouldn't mind to use the staircase to the fourth floor. There is no window to face the plaza so no noise from the crowd at night. You have to take into account that it is located on a fourth flour and there is no elevator: important when you have medium suitcases, and that the reception is open just part time.The location can´t be better

  We stayed here for my 40th birthday and really enjoyed the luxury of the hotel and its facilities. We were upgraded to a suite which was an additional treat. The staff were helpful and the buffet breakfasts were wonderful. The hotel is situated just along from the Ponte Vecchio so was perfectly located.
