Raffaella greeted us on arrival and was very friendly. She had also made contact before by text to find out when we were arriving. The room and the apartment are spacious, light, airy and clean. It was easy to find, just off the main square, which is about 15 mins walk from the bus station. The stairs are not a problem for us but other reviews complain of lack of lift so be aware of this if you are elderly, infirm or lazy. If you're visiting Trieste this is the coolest place to stay; central location with every possible modern convenience. We were met by the owners and nothing was too much trouble for them. Staff were very friendly and helpful, I did not arrive in Trieste until midnight as was delayed en route - despite the inconvenience to them they stayed open for me to check in. Breakfast was excellent, a good choice of breads, savouries and tea/coffee. Great location, only minutes from centre and train station, hotel is on very quiet road. Hotel very clean, including shared bathrooms
