  I always think when you see peoples remarks you still take a risk with hotels, but i have to say all the comments were spot on, fantastic hotel, absolutely lovely rooms, clean, new and stylish in every way, ok we had a bit of a job to find but that was our own doing.... only a walk to st marks so great location and the hotel back entrance is right ... what people say » on a canal if you want to arrive in style! - Excelent hotel located very central in the heart of Venice.Appox five minute walk from Marks sq and Rialto Bridge.Staff ere friendly and helpful.Hotel is over 500yrs old but recently refurbished to a very high standard.The hotel is filled with character.Compliments of the hotel we were given a bottle of sparkling wine and a jacuzzi bath in the room,nice touch as we were on honeymoon..

  We stayed at the Venice h+h for 5 nights and it was perfect! We decided to spend an extra 100 or so euros to get an apartment instead of a hotel room and we saved a few hundred euros catering for ourselves instead of relying on the expensive restaurants of Venice. The apartment was very large and modern with everything you could need for a stay of... what people say » any length. We stayed in San Zuccaria which was a 10 min walk to St Mark's sq and Rialto bridge but still not in a busy crowded tourist area. Overall - Location was excellent - close to St Marks, Rialto and the water bus stops at San Zaccarina. 5 mins walk from Coop supermarket and many restaurants and take aways. The apartment was very nice and spacious with two rooms and reasonably well renovated. Everything in venice looks worn down from the outside but once inside, the apt was very nice. Donatella and Elise were excellent hostesses and responded very priomptly to all questions and queries. Definitely recommended. Btw tourists to Venice mus

  The Ca Del Giazzo was great. This was our first time visiting Venice. The owners of the apartment met us at the Rialto Bridge, and escorted us to the apartment. This was great because Venice is very confusing and we would not have found the apartment without their assistance. The apartment is in a great location, close to the Piazza San Marco and ... what people say » the Rialto Bridge. The apartment is very safe, clean, and spacious. Paulo the owner stopped by to see how were doing and he brought us wine and break - 1. Apartment is very nice, charming and comfortable. 2. Great location, Gate to the building is just a few meters from a pretty little canal, and bedroom window overlooks the canal (though view isn't great). 3. Owner is very nice -- charming and welcoming. Left fruit for us, and some mineral water in the fridge. Gave the kids a present before we left, a yummy chocolate hazelnut pastry.
