Vienna Jacuzzi / Whirlpool Hotels

Have just returned from VCA at Scottenring 33 (Apartment 6), and have not a bad word to say. The booking was effortless, and the optional extra of the limousine pickup was worth every penny. The apartment totally exceeded our expectations and has spoilt us for all future trips. The apartment managed to maintain character with its high ceilings and large rooms, but its sensitively designed modern layout gave you the best of both worlds. This place has to be experienced to be belived. As my title says, I have reviewed over 40 5star hotels throughout the world and this is the only one that I have ever awarded 5 stars to. If you are in Vienna and can afford the the rooms then treat yourself and stay. There is no city hotel that comes close to the discreet and wonderful Palais Coburg. For my first trip to Vienna, I was very happy with the Le Méridien. The location is perfect: on the Ring, opposite the Opera House, very close to the shops of Kärtnerstraße, and very near the Karlsplatz U-Bahn station, which provided direct access to the Messe Wien convention centre. The front lobby and the rooms are very chic and modern, but not so much so that you feel out of place if you're over 25! (As, for example, in a W Hotel.) We stayed at the Hilton Vienna Plaza for 2 nights during the third week of September. We used our HHonors points for the reservation. Upon check-in we were upgraded to a corner suite which was fantastic!! Breakfast and evening snacks were included as we were given access to the lounge. The location of the hotel is fantastic. The U-2 line is right next to the hotel and the station for U-4 (which takes one directly to Schonbrunn Palace) is about a 5-10-min walk. The Stephanplatz area, whi - Angela

This was what I would call a proper value for money. Though a bit outside of the city centre, the modern building and best facilities made the holiday one of the best, and I really enjoyed the breakfasts! - Richard

Stayed on two occasions in 08 and 09/2009. Met everything we had hoped for. Spacious rooms, quiet location right on the Danube, a little out of town but only 15 minutes from train station 5 minutes from hotel. Train fares about 15 Euros for 3 day go anywhere pass (trains/trams and busses). Excellent full breakfast inside or on the terrace next to the Danube. Spotless rooms, friendly staff and excellent room service. We will stay there again. - Michael
